An angle not offered with any other match up. I'm getting a kick out of most of your reactions. In the end, we got a boring series where the Magic just got out classed. If Cleveland made the Finals it would've been four straight ten point Laker wins. Jajajajaja ! Maybe true that, but you would have got a puppet show on the side for the same price. One sign that a team has arrived is when a wicked rivalry begins. Glad to see the spirit between you folks and the clan fron Cleveland,. Looks like another version of Heat - Knicks, in the brew

  3. If I were a Magic fan, I'd be more concerned about how I'd matchup against Detriot and not even concern myself with Cleveland. Detriot could feasibly handle the Magic in am early round.
  4. Howard only got eight rebounds in their only match up last season. Don't know yet if that will translate into w's for Cleveland, but I don't doubt, Shaq will still over-power Howard. The kid has no legs to hold ground. Not even Kobe had problems boxing him out.
  5. I'd worry more about matching up with Boston, Cleveland or next years sleeper before I worry about the Lakers.
  6. So let me get this ..... If the Magic make moves, and if the logic of Howard and a few here are applied, Kobe will be relaxing in his Newport Beach Mansion saying the same childish things. I don't think so.

And it was turned down, as Ferry didn't think it was needed. Orlando showed him different, so yeah, it was in direct response to the loss in the ECF's. Let me ask you this. If Cleveland won over Orlando and the Lakers, does this trade happen? As it turned out, I don't think we know what really happened unless you're sitting in on the negociations between two parties. I've already stated the move was to simmer Lebron and buy time for another move in the near future. Having said that, I'm looking forward to seeing the original Superman school Howard. Seeing how Kobe boxed him out on the paint proved to me Howards got weak legs. Shaq will own the paint in this match up.

The talk outside Orlando is the Cavs are trying to make Lebron happy till they figure how to hold on to him the year after and who was in their way of a title this year? the lil ol Orlando Magic. any fool can see the frontline they had this year was no match for Dwight and the mismatch Rashard gave them. not being a homer either, just common sense. This trade was something that has been in the works during last season. so I don't whole heartedly see your point.

  11. Who cares about a name. Nobody made a fuss when this kid named Jozy scored the goal to beat Spain yesterday. Is this the criteria one should expect in this forum ?

What will the name of the new arena?

In today's environment, it's going to be tough. Dallas couldn't find a sponser so they are keeping Cowboy Stadium when they open next season. The Dolphins also have a difficult time. That's why the Dolphin owner is helping his buddy Kimmy Buffet and named it Land Shark Stadium till the end of the year. What ever they call it, I hope it's not Amway.

We did just have the 4th best record in the league, made it to the Finals, and are the only Eastern Conference contender not currently looking to blow up their roster. Would you consider the Arizona Cardinals an Elite team ? They got a hell of a lot closer to a ring than did the magic. For me to consider a team Elite, they have to demonstrate stability in the upper echelons for a period longer than one season. It's possible this years Magic will be last years Hornets. They have to make suitable changes ( a little demolition ) or else they're goners next season.
  15. You're never going to get a perfect equation on a trade. A great GM would take a lower grade player if it's improves his team. Jesus also has been known to make appearences. Just ask Mitch Kupchak. My premise is just a starting point as all negotiations go. I'd be willing to part with more than Petrius to get Brooke.
