You're Fat, Pat! 98 Report post Posted May 13, 2008 Who on this board expected this team to win the title? No one....except JD... Look at our accomplishments!! -Winning Record -Playoff Berth -Homecourt in the first round -52 wins -Division title -GETTING OUT OF THE FIRST ROUND FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 12 YEARS! -Defeating the Pistons TWICE in the regular season to end the spell! -Defeating the Pistons in the Playoffs to end THAT spell! Individual Accomplishments: -Dwight- *All-Star *All-Defensive 2nd team *All-NBA 1st team *Led league in rebounding *Fourth in the league in blocks per game *Will play on Team USA in the Olympics this summer! -Turkoglu- *Most Improved Player *Fifth in the league in fourth-quarter scoring *Snubbed from the All-Star game *Mr. Fourth Quarter -Others- Gortat: *Best nickname in the league (Warlock) *MVP (Most Valuable Pole) Arroyo: *Strongest fanbase from one ethnic group Lewis: * $118 million paycheck! Can't go wrong there * Defeated the Pistons for the first time in 9 tries! Cook: *Most inconsistent shooter Award Redick: *Sets NBA record for the Least-Demanding Trade Demand I am PROUD of this team's accomplishments! I am not proud of the outcome of this season, but no true Magic fan is. I wanted to win this as much as anyone, and quite frankly, we had our chances. But I think with some offseason adjustments, and some more time together as a team, and we're set. I think this year is just another year to help our team learn and grow, not just individually, but as a unit. So I say, Great Season, Orlando! We should be proud, AND be POSITIVE because the future of our Boys in Blue is OH-SO-BRIGHT!! BE BOLD. BE BLUE. GO MAGIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ThisIsTheYear 241 Report post Posted May 13, 2008 I would have still been very proud of our guys, but the way they closed it out tonight, in an elimination game, was disgusting. It leaves an extremely bitter taste in my mouth.
Tough Break There 96 Report post Posted May 13, 2008 Agreed Pat. People expect to much out of a team that was under .500 last year. I think we're evolving rather nicely.
