30Assists 342 Report post Posted February 28, 2008 Because these guys want to win a championship, so they're either going to go with the best of the teams that have won it recently (Detroit, San Antonio) or the team that looks most likely to win it this year (LA, Boston). They'll sign for nothing because they want the ring. Even for me, a hardcore fan, I think a championship is a longshot this year, although I think we're a lock for the second round. So all those free agents go elsewhere - we'd have to pay through the nose to get them, but they'll sign for pocket change on a "real" team. Break a leg, guys: break a leg.
