New Guy Posting his First Trade Proposal

Recommended Posts

Hey guy's. I'm a magic fan from Jamaica and i've been following the magic since Shaq and Penny. I've been reading the boards avidly for a few months and decided to join. I know it's not a great way to start but this trade has been in my head for a while and i wanted to know what you guys thought about it.

Orlando Trade Breakdown

Incoming Players

John Salmons

6-6 SG from Miami-Fla.

17.1 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 3.3 apg in 36.4 minutes

Sacramento Trade Breakdown

Incoming Players

2.3 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 0.6 apg in 12.5 minutes

Hedo Turkoglu

6-8 SF / SG from Turkey (Foreign)

18.7 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 4.2 apg in 37.7 minutes

Zach Randolph

6-9 PF from Michigan State

17.0 ppg, 10.1 rpg, 1.9 apg in 32.0 minutes

Outgoing Players

John Salmons

6-6 SG from Miami-Fla.

17.1 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 3.3 apg in 36.4 minutes

Mikki Moore

7-0 C from Nebraska

7.8 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 0.7 apg in 29.2 minutes

Ron Artest

6-7 SF from St. John's

18.4 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 4.3 apg in 39.9 minutes

Kenny Thomas

6-7 PF from New Mexico

1.4 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 0.6 apg in 12.2 minutes

I think it's pretty fair for all teams. Why for Orlando? We get a REAL power Forward who can hit the open Jumper and Crash the boards and defend. We get a SG/SF that can handle the rock, defend and score a little. We lose Hedo but i think we benefit. we could have a line-up like this.

PG-nelson/arroyo

SG-Mo Evans/bogans/Redick

SF-Rashard Lewis/John Salmons

PF-Miki Moore/Cook

C-Dwight Howard/ Adonal Foyle

i would follow that up with a sign and trade with Golden State. Say, Arroyo and Bogan's for Monta Ellis.

A trade like this would allow the magic to play Redick at the Back up 2.

PG-nelson/ellis

SG-Mo Evans/Redick

SF-Rashard Lewis/John Salmons

PF-Miki Moore/Cook

C-Dwight Howard/ Adonal Foyle.

Your thoughts, be kind.

I don't think the GS part would happen but the top part seems well thought out and realistic. Nyce 1st post!

I'm not a big fan of Moore, it always worries me when I see a guy have a career season in a contract year but Salmons seems like a good pick up.

I like it. Salmons was putting up McGrady like numbers when Kevin Martin went down (I know, he contributed kindly to my fantasy squad). Moore is the kind of hustle player we need down low to grab us 7-8 boards a game and maybe throw in 6-7 points.

Welcome to the boards by the way!

Are you sure your not a KNICKS fan? Not a good deal for Orlando. Moore is the player you say but that kind of player is a dime a dozen. Hedo also has more value then getting a player in a contract year and for a throw in. If you include a 1st round from KNICKS or SAC then I think the value is about the same.

I don't know anything about contract match-ups and such, so I won't comment on that.

It does look appealing though, an 8 and 6 big guy, someone we desperately need. Haven't watched any Sacramento ball as of late, but Moore's and Salmons' numbers look good. We'd be flooded with SGs though, at least one of them would have to go after a trade like this.

The trade works out on the trade machine and it seems reasonable for all involved teams.

I'm not a big fan of Moore but he could bolster our front-court. And I think Salmons could be our starting SG.

Trust me. I am not a Knicks fan. Sac is already giving up two starters. They are not going to throw in a first. Knicks are already picking up the bad contract of Kenny Thomas, they are not going to throw in a first. Come to think of it. We are talking about Isaiah:-)

I mean i think Salmons would be a good 2 guard for us. But to give up Turk for him and Moore, fans think to highly of Turk right now. So you might have to come with a better deal then that. But i like Salmons and Moore.

But the kings would instanly better.

Bibby Martin Turk Randolph Miller Damm!!!!!
