Live or Die Magic 383 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 There are some big gaps between home games...that is nice. Not sure I like the USF game on a Friday night...that one should definitely have been a Sat. afternoon game. Lots of Natl. air time...can't go wrong there! But man, Sunday games?? I guess it is good the Dolphins are going to suck again next year, I won't have to worry about missing their games.
You're Fat, Pat! 98 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 to be honest...im kinda scared... from THE LOOKS OF IT, we wont be near as good this year...but yet we play the likes of USF, BC, and a VERY TALENTED Miami... not to mention, C-USA is always competitive... call me a doubter, but this season may just very well be a long one... Live or Die Magic 383 Report post Posted February 27, 2008 Well, to think that we will win 10 games again might be too much, but I think our days of being competitive each season are finally here. At minimum, we should still be able to win 7-8 games and go to a bowl. My point is that I think O'Leary finally has his foundation.
Ned Ryerson 94 Report post Posted February 27, 2008 quote: My point is that I think O'Leary finally has his foundation. Agreed. We might have lost Smith, which was our entire offense. However, as much as I like Israel, whoever is the QB next year, it will be an upgrade. Except Rocky Ross, almost all our receivers were only freshman. We will bring back most of our defense. Also, we have much more depth. O'Leary actually said that he expected this coming year to be the one that we made our move. After several good years of recruiting, especially this one, we have become a much deeper team that can get through a few injuries. That said, early predictions: 2008 UCF FOOTBALL SCHEDULE Aug. 30 South Carolina State W Sept. 5 (Fri.) USF (ESPN) W Sept. 20 at Boston College W Sept. 27 at UTEP W Oct. 4 SMU W Oct. 11 at Miami (Fla.) L Oct. 26 (Sun.) at Tulsa (ESPN) L Nov. 2 (Sun.) East Carolina (ESPN) W Nov. 8 Southern Miss W Nov. 15 at Marshall W Nov. 22 at Memphis W Nov. 29 UAB W 10-2 Regular Season Loss in Conference USA Title Game... Would the biggest homer ever have us losing the Conference United States of America Championship Game? We have USF at home, and considering half of their team will be stuck in the Hillsbrough County Judicial System, I like our chances. BC doesn't have Matt Ryan anymore, and he was their whole team. Why not an upset like NC State last year? With Smith I know it would sound more reasonable, but I'm telling you, these athletes that George has been bringing in will just now start to come into their own and two good years of recruiting will start to turn into W's. DLO 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2008 Im gonna be goin up to Boston on the 20th with a couple of friends. It's my roommates birthday that day so I figured why the hell not. The only thing I am worried about is that with the inexperience of our young guys, I can see us losing a couple games that we should easily win. It's gonna be an interesting season to say the least next year.
Live or Die Magic 383 Report post Posted February 27, 2008 My first thought was "why not just have them going to a BCS game!?" Actually, I do think we will have a successful C-USA season, but I am just not geeked up for the two ACC road games. And USF at home...man, I just know they had a great recruiting season too. I'd still be happy with a 6-2 conference record and a 2-2 non-conference record.
