Could be. What's a good comp from history?

I don't think there's a good comp. because I think he's really just the best conceivable version of a three and D guy you could possibly make. And there's significant value in that so I'm not really saying he's bad or anything. I just think he's exclusively an off ball set shooting player. maybe the best off ball set shooting player in NBA history but I don't know what happens when that shifts to an on ball facilitating role.

Think about someone like Kyle Korver. He made an all star team exclusively from his role as an off ball spacing guy in the right situation. But nobody ever suggested you build a team with Korver as a number one option.

I don't think Korver is a good example because his D isn't really that good. I would say more of Bruce Bowen, or possibly Shane Battier. If you want to go back further, maybe Michael Cooper with the Lakers or Danny Ainge with the Celtics in the 80's. Ainge wasn't as good a defender, but was scrappy.

I didn't mean korver was a comparison. more to prove my point about value as a secondary guy not trending into value as a primary guy.

My guys tend to prove that point as well, most were bench guys/specialists. Ainge was really the only guy that was a regular starter, but he was usually a 4th or 5th option on those Celtic teams. Battier did start part of his career, I know, but spent more of it coming off the bench.

Watching last night's game, our team has a long way to go to be that kind of nasty.

eh, the majority of the nba isn't even playing the same sport as last night. We just need to try to be Toronto and hope for things to bounce our way eventually.
