Jarrod Rudolph was on ESPNLA 710 earlier today. Here's a recap FWIW

-Meeting yesterday was a failed attempt to build a relationship with Dwight. Hennigan wanted to build rapport and to sell himself Dwight, at the very least, expected a sales pitch with a gameplan in terms of coaching and acquiring players

-Once it became known it wouldn't happen, there was nothing more to discuss

-Dwight said nothing personal but he'd like to be traded as soon as possible

-Rudolph thinks that Orlando showing up without a game plan shows "spectacular ineptitude"

-Rudolph is pretty sure the Magic never informed Hennigan how bad things were between them and Dwight

-Rudolph isn't sure whether or not Dwight is stuck in Orlando, they've turned down good deals from Nets and Houston, and the LAL/CLE 3 way, but they know they need to move him

-Howard camp wondering if ORL intends to actually engage trade talks or just noise

-ACCORDING TO RUDOLPH'S SOURCES, THERE'S ONLY BEEN ONE CONVERSATION WITH THE LAKERS AND THAT WAS INITIATED BY LA

-The Melo package isn't going to happen for the Magic

-Orlando is being greedy and unwilling to even take 80 cents on the dollar

-Rudolph said it was tough to answer this one, especially because the Lakers are not convince Orlando wants to make a move, but his guess was that it's more likely that Dwight doesn't move until January than in the next two weeks, this based on his belief Orlando isn't seriously interested in trading Dwight

I wonder if Otis has had any interviews for gm anywhere else. At least Brian Hill managed to eek out a minor position elsewhere in the league. Otis wont even get an offer to be the team cup cleaner...and no I dont mean drinking cups.

What kind of cups do you mean then?

Remember when Rudolph said trading Dwight for Brook Lopez would be like trading Superman for Captain Planet? Now he is calling the Nets' offer good? It is sad how much of a tool he is.

Looking back at what DEN, UT and NO got for their disgruntled superstars

Denver Receives: Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks 2014 first-round draft pick, the Warriors' 2012 second-round pick, the Warriors' 2013 second-round pick and $3 million in cash

New York Receives: Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman.

New Jersey (Brooklyn) Receives: Deron Williams

Utah Receives: Derrick Favors, Devin Harris, two first-round draft picks and cash considerations

Los Angeles Clippers Receives: Chris Paul and 2 future second round picks

New Orleans Receive: Eric Gordon, center Chris Kaman, forward Al-Farouq Aminu and Minnesota's unprotected 2012 first-round pick

What are Magic FO realistically expecting?

The Denver deal has made the Nuggets mediocre, while the Utah and NO deal has instantly made both squads rebuild and find cornerstone players in Favors and Gordon/Davis.

I'd assume they expect more since Dwight is undoubtedly better than those players, but of course Dwight has killed everything. I think the Chris Paul trade is closest to what they want.
