Obama About to Announce that the US has Killed Osama Bin Laden

Recommended Posts

that's certainly your opinion. There is no structural or procedural difference between any of the 28 members, they all have one delegate and receive one vote. And, i'm not even sure why you brought up NATO because it is strictly a mutual defense treaty which has what to do with the topic at hand? NATO members' decisions must go through the NATO council before reaching approval. They behave nothing like the rogue, independent terrorist organizations discussed here.

THE THING YOU DESCRIBED ISN'T ONE HUNDRED PERCENT LIKE THE THING WE WERE TALKING ABOUT, REGARDLESS OF WHAT SPECIFIC ANALOGY YOU WERE DRAWING, THEREFORE YOU ARE WRONG AND I CLAIM VICTORY!"

Did Xenu do that correctly? He's still learning the proper Teegeeackian ways of "political debate".

I'm not having a debate with anybody, this is just a discussion. I'm not claiming victory, and haven't. If you know something I don't, then please share b/c I might learn something. Why you have to resort to these silly statements I have no clue, sorry you got rubbed the wrong way.

And I understand completely what you are saying: the US is the only hegemony and thus "bullies" other countries around to do it's bidding. But even we follow rules and protocols of the organization. I don't see that at all with UBL and company. There is no leader there. Pakistan, Yemen, Afghanistan are all societies still largely based on clans and tribes which have always been at war with each other. The killing of UBL won't be a deterrent; another organization will fill the vacuum and take its place. I believe that internally there will be war among groups to take that top spot, which will lead to more violence and chaos.

Would you rather they never found Bin Laden, so all those resources were wasted completely?

*******END TRANSMISSION*******

Finding Bin Laden has done exactly what? Those resources were people and their families that were destroyed not wasted. Read Chris Hedges articles on the great work we have done. Also why was his body dumped into the Ocean? Bhutto claimed that he was killed years ago, but she was killed conveniently. Do you believe that the trillions of dollars that have been wasted in the war on terror does not affect our economy? Please read a book that is not neocon claptrap.

hold on there cowboy, we have not spent trillions of dollars on this war. Billions, yes. but nowhere close to a trillion. And Chris Hedges is as liberal as they come.

What more was accomplished other than revenge?

Was Osama really running the show anymore?

Even if you assume he was completely removed from leadership and served no purpose other than a symbol of rebellion against the Empire, it's still a significant victory.

Why would Xenu, or anyone with self-respect for that matter, take a serious interest in anything Chris Hedges had to say in 2011, after he spent the middle of last decade completely contradicting himself and writing a novel sized hate letter to Christopher Hitchens and Sam Harris, just because they had the audacity to be smarter than he was?

There's a reason he's stuck writing pessimism porn for truthdig.com; it's because no one else will touch him. But since clearly pessimism porn is your thing, knock yourself out. Just don't sit there and expect anyone else to take you seriously. No one takes Ann Coulter fans seriously for the exact same reason.

His body was dumped in the ocean because Islamic law calls for swift ceremony for the dead, and the United States had no reason to give anyone the opportunity to claim the body, assuming anyone would even be stupid enough to try. That's obvious to anyone with a third grade education.

Also: Are you implying that the United States killed Benazir Bhutto? Is that a stance you're really willing to take?

As for the "Trillions of dollars" we've spent on the war on terror, yes, it does effect the economy. Specifically, it benefits it, since it employs people. Or do you think that soldiers, spies, information gathering agents, analysts, etc are all robots built in China?

And regardless of that, Lord Xenu would LOVE to hear you explain how the war on terror caused any one of the repeal of Glass-Steagall act, the influx of credit default swaps, over-lending, corporate over-leveraging, the rise of naked short-selling on the stock market, the derivatives crash, the rise of Mega-banks, sub-prime mortgages, bank insolvency, and/or the stock market free-fall.

Frankly, if you could tie the War on Terror to any one of those things in a way that was coherent, you'd deserve a medal for it.

As for your "Neocon claptrap" nonsense, Lord Xenu is further left than at least 80% of your miserable planet. That he isn't insane about it doesn't make him a neocon, any more than not being obese doesn't make one a body builder.

Lord Xenu believes he was trying to claim that anyone who wasn't as liberal as Chris Hedges was a neocon, an opinion almost too stupid to contemplate.

You think the trillions yes trillions not billions of dollars are not a blow to the economy? How much has been spent on infrastructure, education, health care, etc. during the same time frame? No, I don't believe the war on terror has anything to do with the wall street collapse and the next one. But they are interrelated in that the corporate mindset is at the wheel in both instances.

Why are we in these wars? To make money. For who? Corporations.

Why did the mortgage companies pull all the shenanigans? To make money. For who? The Corporations.

Why did the government allow the wall street and mortgage company rip off? To make money. For Who? Themselves as they get most of their campaign money from the corporations.

Why have none of the loopholes in the tax system been changed? To make money. For who? The corporations who claim that their home offices are in the Cayman islands or wherever so to not have to pay taxes.

You can believe whatever you want but money takes care of money. And these wars have been about money. NOT DEMOCRACY

And to think that Xenu believed fanfortoolong2's response would be a tin foil hat ready amalgamation of loosely connected points of conspiratorial gibberish like one might expect to hear from a drunk Teegeeackian at an airport bar at 2am on a Tuesday.

Mighty Lord Xenu is happy to see that...that is exactly what it was.
