Captain Hi-Top 791 Report post Posted July 19, 2010 Hmmm, if you think you have what it takes now, to win it all, why aren't you calling out the team that knocked you out of the playoffs last, or the reigning NBA champs?

You can make that claim for practically any team. If anything, Miami's the one team you CAN'T suggest that towards, or do you really believe that either Wade/Bosh or LeBron/Bosh can't make it past the 1st round? Wade/Bosh or LeBron/Bosh on a real team could definitely get past the first round. But with scrubs all around? Not gonna happen. LeBron went to the Finals with a team of scrubs once. Having at least Bosh or Wade would be more than enough to beat whatever first round fodder they face.

That's it. LeBron or Wade will be acting as point guard 80% of the time anyways like they did last year. They did it better than their teams actual pg All he has to do is shoot open 3's. Sound's familiar. What happens if a team is constructed so that Lebron/Wade goes about their business and no double comes? ie Magic/Celtics? Personally, I would concede Lebron and Wade barreling into the lane and hitting the floor. It will take a toll eventually.... big difference. Lebron Wade are both in their primes and WILL draw defenses in and get open 3 pt shooters. Vince is not in his prime and can only do that on occasion now. Nelson can only do that on occasion. Howard can only do that on occasion. Wade Lebron will do it constantly So you're saying no team is disciplined enough not to draw in? If there's not one team, why even play out the season? I'm saying you play good 1 on 1 defense and eliminate the other options. It's been done before and as Otis said, there's still only one ball. It's Lebron OR Wade, not Lebron and Wade. Let Lebron walk off cramped up and bleeding. If no double comes then they finish at the rim easily. Or Dwight gets 6 fouls in 15 minutes. It's not as simple as just playing 1v1 because a majority of the time 1v1 will result in Wade or LeBron getting to the basket. This is why the Lakers are the team that's best suited to guard Miami. Besides the 3 that were actual misses, the rest were fouls. Love it thanks for the vid. and thats not what I meant at all, I meant once a player like Vince gets inside on his man, hypothetically, hes going to finish on almost every wing that were to defend him...its basketball. The thing is Vince cannot get to that position nearly as much as he used to obviously, unlike Wade and Lebron AND Bosh who CAN get to their inside position rather easily and finish unless helps comes. which will leave a 3 pt shooter like Miller Open. The fact is that, most of the time, he doesn't finish **** anymore. When he takes a shot, I get the same feeling I used to get when Trent Dilfer would drop back to pass. He is finished. And if you want to be taken seriously, as far as I'm concerned, stop talking about Wince as if he is an elite player. Truth is, at this point in his career, he sucks ***. What do you suggest then? Because right now, I starting to think no one can beat them. What I'm suggesting is simply making them work for what they get. Making it hard for them to 1) get the ball or get position and 2) get into any kind of rhythm 3) Actually work on defense. Of course these guys are talented enough to do whatever, but what will make them even harder to beat is allowing Miller or whoever to camp out and get 20 with little or no effort. I may be reaching but if there's a better plan, I'm all for it.
