1. Haslem is not a very good asset at all

2. we will not do anything to help Miami clear space for Lebron

You are running a little bit behind. Haslem is a free agent and most likely, the Heat have already ready renounced his rights so that he won't have a cap hold on them.

they need to get rid of beasley. that's who we should be targeting now if we want to get in on the whole situation. But then that helps out Miami who have never been inclined to help us out.

Ugh - no on Beasley. Haslem would be a good consolation prize if Boozer falls through. Worse comes to worse, I wouldn't feel bad with him coming off the bench behind 'Shard.

I'm still on the fence with Bass/RA - both played well at times, but....

Haslem actually has a ring, something NONE of the guys on our current roster has.

why all this hoopla over him?

He's like Brandon Bass if Bass was older, had better IQ, was a better rebounder and a bit less athletic.

This. While he wouldn't be an upgrade over 'Shard, necessarily, he's a better defender, is more focused on hustle plays (loose balls, etc), and has a good basketball IQ.

He'd be, at the very least, an improvement over Bass and Anderson. Plus, he could actually be a starter on our team and allow 'Shard to slide over to his more natural SF spot.
