Tony Dutt, the agent for Magic forwards Rashard Lewis and Brandon Bass, told the Orlando Sentinel that a rumored sign-and-trade between the Magic and Jazz for free-agent Carlos Boozer "has no legs."

Reported versions of the rumor have Orlando sending Marcin Gortat and Bass to Utah in a deal for Boozer, but sources close to the Magic say they aren't interested in Boozer.

I think Boozer would be a good fit, but the only problem I see is that he seems to be one of those guys that only plays his best during contract years. The years in between, he has been injury prone and less effective overall.

Yes because I am sure Otis is calling up Dutt every hour with an update on their trade scenarios. That is just his opionion, because if we got Boozer we wouldnt need Bass.

Orlando may take a run at Utah free agent big man Carlos Boozer, according to the Deseret News.

CBSSports.com identified Boozer as being on Dwight Howard's "short list" of preferred offseason acquisitions. The Magic's official website addressed a potential Boozer-to-Orlando scenario earlier this week.

The Magic are over the NBA's team payroll salary cap, though, so obtaining Boozer would have to involve a sign-and-trade deal between Orlando and Utah.

Dutt probably wants the Magic to move Bass because he won't get PT here.
