We're talking about Jameer Nelson. Not in their league, Billups is ranked by ESPN as the decades best PG. Then Kidd/ Nash. Billups isn't a shoot first. Do you watch the guy? He'll always make the pass first, and take shots when necessary. He'll take shots off passes. He does take pull up 3s though, I'll give you that.

Parker didnt hurt Duncans/Ginoblis/Robinson's/ play one bit, he would defer to them FIRST. But yes he was good at attacking.

Jameer is more defer to them AFTER he can't find his own shot.

Parker FGA per 36 = 14.9 - assists = 6.5

Billups FGA per 36 = 13.7 - assists = 6.4

Nelson FGA per 36 = 13.4 - assists = 6.7

if anything, Jameer's a bigger "pass first PG" than Billups and Parker

I love it when you're wrong.

lets break this down even further.

assist % (percentage of teammate field goals a player assisted while he was on the floor)

Jameer- 32.2

Billups- 28.8

jameer is ahead of guys like andre millerr, tony parker, brandon jennings, derrick rose, raymond felton, chris duhon, jarrett jack, aaron brooks, steve blake, tyreke evans, etc.

Jameer is 10th in the league in assist % and 8th in point guards.

guys ahead of him: Steve Nash, Chris Paul, Rajon Rondo, Deron Williams, LeBron James, Baron Davis, Russell Westbrook, Jason Kidd, Dwayne Wade

thats almost how it works.

a title gives 2-3 year grace period where a player can do anything and be immune from criticism. After that reluctant criticism resumes until the player retires or joins another team. Then the reverence starts up again.

Exactly, look at New Orleans, Drew Brees is Jesus there (without the eventual backstabbing).
