yeah, wade takes too much punishment to be playing at his level for too much longer. He's got 2-3 more seasons max of playing at a all nba first team level.

Half of the punishment Wade takes is because of being the only consistent offensive option on his team. You don't think that Wade with a supporting Cast of Nelson, Lewis, Howard (assuming that would be the support he got if he ever came here) wouldn't be taking nearly as much damage? I know he has a very brutal style of play but with just Howard alone I think he would see a significant decrease in the punishment he takes.

 

Then again I'm not sold on Melo, which is dumb, but to me he still seems to have some character issues and I doubt his ability to lead. To me that team and the success it has achieved has mainly been on Chauncey's shoulders. Melo has been a big part, but Billups is the MVP of that team, and I can't wonder what would happen if he was not on it again.
