I was just thinking if we can get him to cut down his pay to say something like $15 mill and then get rid of Vince next year that's around 20 mill right there, we could use that to get a huge all star like Dwayne Wade when he goes into free agency next year. ( I was just thinking about it) lol but then I saw how much he is making and thought that was pretty crazy.

I wonder if Rashard ever really wanted to come to Orlando. I mean, there's no way he could've been had for less than the 6 year/118 million dollar deal he got. I think he wanted to play somewhere else, Otis got desperate and threw everything he could at him.

I think $15 mill would be more then enough for him. I understand it would take some encouraging..lol.. i would point out to him that we would be adding an all star and will have the potential to win more championships then you ever dreamt of. Can you imagine, lewis, howard, and lebron james or dwayne wade as our big three. That would wipe Boston's big three and wipe out the Lakers too. I'm just saying though 18 mill for lewis seems like a lot to me, especially after comparing it to other all star players in the league. I just don't like how Vince is doing and I want to see him get replaced by someone HUGE.

It's the way the current NBA collective bargaining agreement works. It virtually assures any player who's better than average receives maximum dollars. 18 mill a year is the max a guy who's been in the league as long as rashard makes.

a couple GM's overpay for a player every year because they have to if they want to improve. If they don't offer the max deal, someone else will.
