Not to be on the team, but to rehab. There is no reason paying a new contract on or using a roster spot on a guy who is out until next season.

Seems like a classy move from the organisation. He was always going to get waived by Memphis, the Magic could have just washed their hands of him, but looks like their going to continue to help him rehab.

I think so, but there's a chance they won't. They just acquired Chris Mihm as well. Their GM stated that Foyle could be a great locker room presence for them and he has at least reported to Memphis, so there's a chance they hold on to him, but it's unlikely. Especially if they can buy him out and save a dollar or two.

I believe Foyle is an expiring, so I wouldn't be shocked if Memphis kept him around as veteran leadership and then let him expire. Adonal should retire from playing after the season is over though...
