2012 Orlando Magic Regular Season Thread

I would be shocked if AA or JJ isn't traded by the deadline. They make $14M combined this year, and JJ will be looking for a raise. I pasted a list of teams owning more than one 2013 draft pick. The Bulls and Thunder have some attractive picks that could be used in trade 2013 First-Round Picks Owed Atlanta Hawks: Receives Houston’s first-round pick from Nets via Joe Johnson trade on 11/7/12. Hickson trade on 6/30/11. Have the option to switch less favorable of their pick and HEAT’s with Lakers via Ramon Sessions trade on 3/15/12. This makes more sense than the Magic pursuing him. Boston with Gortat could challenge the Heat.

Gortat turns 29 in February, and Vucevic just turned 22 last month.

I like Gortat, but don't understand why we would make a move for him. We would probably have to give up a younger Vucevic, who I think has more upside and fits better in the long range plan to have high lottery picks for the next few years.

The link below argues all shots between 3-23 feet should be minimized. Very interesting argument backed up with solid statistics. http://wagesofwins.c...-floor-stretch/

Did you notice how lost Ryno looked? I know it's only one game, but I think Henny made the right call.

I'm biased being an IU fan, but Zeller displayed some real range at this year's Midnight Madness. I think he could have a Dirk type ceiling. He has a great work ethic.

I saw where Dallas and Houston were planning to make a run at Harden next year. Probably Phoenix as well. I think we're a longshot to get him.

No way we make the playoffs this year. We'll play the vets the first half of the season to showcase, then trade them for draft picks. I expect Harrington, Davis, and Reddick to be gone before the end of the season.

I think he'll make a positive contribution, but being a diehard IU fan, I find it difficult to root for anyone who went to Purdue.

Nice article on the possibility of OKC trading Harden at next year's deadline. The price seems a bit steep. http://nba-point-for...wr_a1&eref=sihp

I think he's a decent 3rd string at best. I wouldn't mind us trying to make a deal to acquire Shelvin Mack from the Wiz since they signed AJ Price to back up Wall.

Coming out of the draft, he was described as a Channning Frye/Matt Bonner type of player. I'd like to see what he can do with a full training camp. Hard to form an opinion based on what we saw last year.

We gave up two future 2nd round picks that should be pretty close to the top of the round for Harper, and now we're talking about waiving him after one year because he can't make our lottery bound roster?
