I don't think it has anything to do with people responding to negative comments about JJ. I think people just genuinely disagree with you. The last two GM's, who presumably had a choice between AA and JJ, chose JJ. Of course Milwaukee's GM has proven himself to be an absolute moron, and Doc has a bit of a questionable track record also, so there's that.

Older player? He's 20. Other than that I totally agree with you. -
Welcome To The Orlando Magic Victor Oladipo

That's cool. You should become a Magic fan...consider it getting in on the ground level. -
JJ is a better shooter, passer, and facilitator of the offense. I'd personally rather have a signed Redick than AA for the next three years.

Welcome To The Orlando Magic Victor Oladipo

Oh hell yeah, Oladipo is definitely going to lead us to the promised land. Finally our first Summer League championship. Get on the bandwagon now, cause there won't be room in three weeks...suckas -
Magic Going All In For Chris Paul's Backup?
magicblue replied to Jagsfreak27's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
That would be incredible, although highly unlikely -
Marcus Smart screwed us a little by not coming out. I'm pretty sure we would have taken him at #2

Magic Going All In For Chris Paul's Backup?
magicblue replied to Jagsfreak27's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
He's got pretty good size, is fairly athletic, and is a decent defender. Admittedly he'd need to take some strides forward in terms of playmaking, and in all aspects of his game for that matter. That's why I said keep an eye out for him rather than we should go after him. -
Magic Going All In For Chris Paul's Backup?

Keep an eye out for Reggie Jackson, especially if he performs well this year. Not sure if he's RFA or UFA but either way I doubt OKC would match on a 4yr/$18-20M deal (assuming he proves to be worth it) -

Wow, now that's good stuff! -
Well, he is 6'8" which seems to be a prerequisite to play for the Magic. Having said that, he's 28 and doesn't seem to fit in with what were doing.

How many people tried to explain what you meant with your crappy Bledsoe comparisons? No complaints from you then, ironically.

Magic Going All In For Chris Paul's Backup?

There's a certain percentage of idiots in the world, and this forum is not immune, but that assertion would have been based on what? -
Gross misuse of commas and he said plenty, not plethora.. Plus who says plethora is 10 (although again he said plenty)? I don't agree with him and I don't know how to ignore you...that's the only reason I'm responding.

Agree strongly with point 4. I wonder if those Bledsoe sightings in Orlando a couple weeks ago were accurate? -

How about ViDi...his energy is infectious! Sorry, I ignored the last few posts and went there -
I don't like speaking for others, but I believe he was saying if you're just going to root against the team you mine as well not bother watching. The funny thing about all this is the misconception that rooting for, or against, the team is in any way going to change how they perform. Its like when my wife was telling me she didn't want to watch the Finals because every time she watched, the Heat won. Of course I did blame her after game 7 because she watched

We've had this discussion before on this board and I think the consensus was people aren't necessarily rooting for losses but rather expecting them and taking consolation in knowing that there is actually potential long-term good that will come from us having a poor record. So rather than hating on the team and becoming frustrated, its an acceptance of the growing pains and the optimism that at the end of season all the losing will be worth it. This will obviously change as the expectations for the team change, which I imagine will be the beginning of the 2014-15 season.

To point #3, we had several key injuries during the second half of the season...not to mention a trade which sent away one of the teams most familiar players and brought in Harris. We didn't get worse, we got thin, younger, and possibly a little demoralized. That said, there were still several games that we had opportunities to win and simply didn't. I thought the guys fought pretty hard considering the surmounting losses.

I was half kidding, but I pm'd you my paypal address just in case ;)

There's quote from Coach Crean (Krean?) in which he says they had Dipo run point in practice and for about 5 minutes each game last season to push him. He seems to think its possible. I believe JV said they intend to use him in different ways in the summer league to see exactly what he can do. I can't imagine him having the vision/passing ability to play the point, but it sure would be great if he could.

I think we'll be fun to watch and win between 25-30 games, which should give us a decent shot at a top 3 pick

Dwight Decision Thread - Update on Page 10
magicblue replied to the notorious S.A.C.'s topic in Around the NBA/Globe Game
Cleveland has had two #1 picks since Lebron left, so I would say it's our turn to get one for Dwight leaving.
