That still wouldn't change the fact that he's an upgrade to Gortat.
-
LOL.... You're right, but I'd feel a LOT more confident with this wager. He'd help them stay relevant in a weaker eastern conference, but he'd never win a title with them.
-
2 ACL surgeries..... That's why.
-
We want decent play at a low cost. We should have just kept Mack.
-
I'd wager a month's salary on that. If he could stay healthy he'd be a very good fit for them on the court.
-
Howard would go in a heart beat if that division rival has a legitimate chance to compete in the playoffs again.
-
Betcha a lot more could go right.... Just saying. Dwight would be the perfect rim runner for them that can actually play a lick of damn defense. Gortat is over the hill.
-
AND a major upgrade for them..... They'd be stupid to not look at the prospect of signing Dwight. He'd be a good fit for them.
-
Gortat and JWall apparently haven't made up...... Actually the Wiz could really use an upgrade for a rim runner at the 5 position.
-
His body has to catch up with his growth spurt. Very similar to JI. He'll get pushed around his first year by bigger bodies, but he'll be a marked improvement defensively to Nikola.
-
He's a rookie. Don't expect too much from him in year one.
-
lol.... Dude you're delusional.
-
smdh.... Simmons wasn't a DPOY and 2 time 1st all-nba team. Leonard has been.
-
lol... Comparing Simmons to Leonard is just comical.
-
This is all a stupid pipe dream.... Kwahi isn't coming here.

The context of my post went right over your head.

He said that after talking with Schroder following the draft he believes the veteran will help the incoming rookie adjust to the NBA. “I think Dennis will be a tremendous role model,” Pierce said Monday. “We’ve talked already about him and Trae not only coexisting, but him being a leader for Trae and helping him on the court. Dennis has had a lot of success in the league and he’s a guy that still has a lot of growing to go, and Trae is just trying to follow in those footsteps.” – via Atlanta Journal-Constitution Draft, Lloyd Pierce, Dennis Schroeder, Trae Young, Atlanta Hawks LOL

All valid points. I guess I just like building a team organically. It'll be interesting to see if he can get healthy and play at the same level pre-injury.
-
What if they targeted Bamba or JI... and not Gordon.
-
Um...... No. We'd have to trade away young players, plus we don't even know if he'd sign long term with us.
-
Huh........????????????
-
lol.... Now I feel even OLDER.
-
God I'm getting old as dirt.
-
It's a very good time to try and land him in a trade.... Philly's looking to dump salary for Lebron...
-
Truly sad .............. We call that wasted potential.
