    Time for Replacement

    LOL.... I'm a moron now...... Give me a break.... I remember the free agent frenzy season pretty well.... We weren't going to get all 3 of em.... We wanted Tim and we wanted Grant. We got Tracy and we got Grant.... not much if any cap space left either I might add.... Call me what you want, but I don't need to give you screen shots of ESPN articles to know that this is what went down.....

    That's why most teams actually look for cheap veteran depth when injuries occur. Playing Shard at the 4 for the entire season was a desperation move by Stan... Fortunately he actually adjusted well.

    My point exactly..... We couldn't have signed all 3 of them... I don't give a crap what ESPN says... Sports writers aren't infallible. We had the cap space to bring in 2 max contracts and we tried to do just that. Signing T-Mac on top of the other 2 wouldn't have happened... I don't care how creative the front office tried to get.

    Time for Replacement

    I could care less what ESPN has to say... We didn't have the money to sign 3 max contracts outright in Free Agency that year. We wanted Grant and we wanted Tim. When Tim resigned T-Mac was the 3rd option.... In a pipe dream we wanted all 3, but to say we could've signed T-Mac for much less isn't necessarily the truth.

    No we didn't Kramer... We went all in for Tim and Grant. When Duncan went off the market we signed T-Mac... He was playing behind Vince Carter in Toronto..... I'm not trying to argue with anyone, but I agree with certain people. Stan is NOT the coach for this team. His in game adjustments are putrid and I don't believe he utilizes players to their strengths. Why else would he try and make a 4 out of Rashard when he was here....???? I'll admit Rashard adapted well, but most players won't......

    because he wasn't a rookie (in lee) or an inferior, weaker defender (in alston) it's svg's fault his veteran made a mental lapse? i promise he was told to foul, just not on an attempted three. and if you've watched a lot of basketball, which you obviously haven't, you'd know that that plan doesn't even usually work, end game situations they give the benefit of the doubt to the shooter. i'd have rather seen fisher make a prayer of a 29 footer than 3 free throws. Total fail on this reply Kramer..... Jameer was injured for over half of the season. The idea of bringing him back for the finals when he no time to practice or get in game shape was a huge mistake by Stan and the Orlando brass.... Say what what you will, but that my friend is a FACT....

    Yes, the organization didn't like Hill, so we forced him to sit on the bench and collect a paycheck for 7 seasons. It was a bad turn of events for sure, but this club almost has Hill, T-Mac and Duncan via free agency all in the same summer. They took a swing and missed, but damn, you can't blame them for having the nerve to try to pull off that move. Actually we signed Grant and went after Timmy. After Timmy re-signed with San Antonio we in turn signed T-Mac who was our 3rd option. We couldn't afford to sign all 3 that summer. They were all basically max contract players even though T-Mac wasn't a proven commodity... Funny how things worked out T-Mac won 2 scoring titles with us after that....

    I haven't scrolled down yet, but I'm sure it's been brought to your attention that TMac and Dwight never played together. We traded TMac in the offseason we drafted Dwight.

    Jameer = liability

    Chris Corchiani was a better point guard then Nelson is now. Too bad the kid couldn't shoot a lick.... He was a decent 2nd round draft pick for us back in the day....

    Jameer = liability

    A quality PG is NOT the least important position we could have on this team. Everything starts with the PG. He runs the offense and creates easy scoring opportunities for everyone on the team. It's without a doubt a HUGE weakness with our club... And at 7 to 8 million per year, he's not exactly cheap.....

    Otis' latest interview

    I'm not totally against the idea of Ewing coaching out the rest of the year... Maybe he'll utilize the players to their strengths more then Stanley has to this point...

    Game Thread: Magic @ Kings 1/8/12

    Actually I'm very interested to see Demarcus play. The kid's got tons of talent.

    Demarcus didn't demand a trade.... He demanded a new head coach...... and look who won.... :D
  14. I believe Stan's brother is much better at dealing with players as well... Plus he managed to deal with the Knick fan base which can even be a lot more difficult then dealing with the players themselves.....
  15. Nope.... Minny finally got it right and hired an experienced quality head coach... Not that I have anything against Kurt. Always liked the man.
  16. Ole Franny needs to have his Lady Parts surgically removed.... Then he'll be ready to join us in the NBA....
  17. Jerry is a great teacher of the game.... I'd MUCH prefer him over Larry Brown. Larry wouldn't work well with the vets... He seems to be at his best molding young players.
  18. We just need to face the facts people... If this franchise doesn't find a way to make Dwight believe that we'll acquire the pieces necessary to win it all then he's going to leave... It's that simple.... If he does decide to leave, I myself as a fan won't hold no ill-will towards the man. It's his choice as a player and a person... He's worked hard and played hard for this franchise for a long time. He can only carry us for so long. I'll still root for him in another city if I must. He's done his part in my own personal opinion.
  19. Rick's coaching an upcoming Minny team.... AND Rubio looks incredible.......
  20. It's nearly impossible to find a quality head coach in the middle of a season... More then likely an assistant would finish the year out as interim head coach...
  21. And I'm willing to bet that he felt that Miami would get that ring if Stan coached the entire year. Call it Pat's ego if you like, but I honestly believed that he felt that Stan wasn't up to the challenge. Especially with Shaq on that team.
  22. It's actually not at all surprising that his relationship with Stan is a major factor. I've got several friends, one in particular, who has said Stan is the biggest reason why we haven't won a title yet with this team. He's a one size fits all head coach. He doesn't utilize players to their strengths and that's a very big reason why Miami let him go before he came here. That coupled with the dismantling of the 2009 finals team have really hurt our chances of keeping him here.
  23. Would you 2 get a damn room already..... I've been reading your back and forth all damn day long.............
  24. Dwight KNOWS what he can make a what time if he re-signs with us or not..... For people on this forum to think that he's unaware of his potential earning potential come ANY type of contract time is just ignorant.... Dwight knows what his contract options are..... We have 14 million CBA contract experts alone on this board.... To think that he doesn't know what his options are is just plain stupid.....
