No. Because that is not really the idea of tanking with the magic. You can see that with The lakers and Phoenix where they rest their best players in order for them to lose. We dont have that problem. My idea of "Tank" is just giving more playing time to Zimmerman and Mario which in fact can eventually help their development and stop playing DJ and other veterans that likely will not be here next year.

He has not yet had the chance to work on his game during the offseason. He has had to work under 2 different coaches during his few seasons here.he reminds me of JJ when he first started with the Magic. Maybe but I dont see Ainge trading Thomas away like that for an unproven PG. Thomas is currently their best player and will be a significan risk to let him go. Jackson is a phenomenal player that can play that needed SF position.

It will be interesting to see what Boston, Lakers and phoenix do with their picks. They all already have proven PG's in their lineup. I will not be surprise to see Jackson going first to Boston followed by Ball to LA and Batum to Phoenix. That leaves us with a very good chance to draft Fultz if we keep that 4th spot.

It will be interesting to see how this get into his head. As I coach, I imagine this is what you want to see the least in your team. It says a lot about how poor your offense is structured by Allowing a player to take control of the offense like that. You want to see other players to execute and contribute as well. Specially when you are trying to give other young players time to develop. Booker is no Kobe nor he always be. I was also bothered And dissapointed to see Tyson Chandler celebrating this like a heroic act EVEN when they were losing!. He is a veteran and should know better. Never to celebrate anything unless you are winning. I am not nor will be celebrating any of Paytons tripple doubles anytime soon unless you start seeing from him more consistency.

That really hurts. The fact is that the guy wanted to prove himself in that position with Gordon at the PF position like we all wanted. I dont buy what vogel said about the playing time of the other centers. You play to win and clearly Vuch at center, ibaka at 4 and Gordon at 3 was not working. You try it and later figure out how you are going to deal with the playing time for others. This guys are getting paid big money so who cares how they feel. They are professionals.

Tanking is not much of a problem for me because teams are doing it to hopefully get better. At the end, they want to compete. I have more of a problem with good teams resting their players. The only reason why fans are still going to some of the games is to see some of this star players play. It is very disrespectful to the fans and the league. I will be going tk the thunders game to see westbrook play more than anything. I will be very upset if for some reason he is DNP for resting purposes.

I think all of this talk in regards Payton's playing and stats will pick up for sire next season once he is due for a co tract extension. What do you think his fair market value sits AT THE MOMENT? I think he is a 7-8 million per year type of player at the very best. Thinking that we are going for another PG this offseason.

I think we need to have a top 5 pick no matter what. We dont really need to work that hard for the tanking to take effect. Next 9 games i see us winning 3 out of 9. We play raptors, thunders, celtics, cavs, pacers, bulls, pistons and the nets twice. No way we will be in the bottom 3 with suns, lakers and nets already securing those positions. We are currently playing for the 4 to 8 spot. Phily is tanking and New york seems to be doing the same. They are probably end their season at the 4th and 5 spot respectively. Then there is Minnesota, Sacramento and Us playing for the 6,7 and 8 position. Only one game is separating us from the 4th to 8 position. If we lose all of the games we will end up at the 4 position. If we win 1-2 games we might end up at the 5-6 position. If we win 3-4 games we are likely ending at the 6-7 position. If we win More than 4 we will be sitting at the 8 position. This is how I see it.

Yes. I just heard him at the radio and he again said it. He did say that Mario at 4 helps orher players in the perimeter as he is still considered to be a threat with his outside shooting. Gordon has struggle to do that as a PF. I guess he is hoping for Mario to be an Anderson type Of player. I, personally, dont see that happing but not opposed to give it a trial.

He meant that he can play that PF position iif needed. He has the size to do it and I am not oppossed to experiment at this point of the year. Im not sure if he will be good at it but it is not a bad idea to try and see. I guess they want to see if he can be a Saric type of player(sf/pf).

Agree. I dont mind him playing the 3 at the defensive end when needed but he should play PF from this point on.

My post was not to mislead anyone. It was trying to explain our current cap situation. I did not discussed details as we dont know what is going to happen this summer. All I wanted is to inform that we have over 30 mills next summer to work if we want. We can trade Vuc(another 12 per year) fournier(another 17 per year), augustine( 7 mills) or we can trade picks etc.. Biz salary will not significanlty hinder us in making moves. I agree that if we sign all our picks our cap situation will change but that is part of the moves we do during this summer.

I do not know where to start but I will point a few things here #1 You are now comparing Mozgov to Biz. Mozgov is a completely different player who is declining. He has no defense and he has struggle in offense over the past couple of years. He is older and can't keep up with today's fast pace game. I do not know nor I cant understand as to why you see Mozgov as a better player than Biz. This is crazy talk. #2 I did not mentioned that he will be a good player with a better PG. What I said is that he is a great pick and roll player who creates for other. There is even a stat that proves my point. He is the best in the league in that. He was able to prove it when he played alongside Lowry in Torornto. #3 His salary DOES NOT AFFECT OUR CAP SITUATION. We still have enough money to sign players this summer. Biz is earning 17 millions per year for the next 2 years. He has a player option in 2019. Next year cap projection is to be 102 millions with the luxury tax been at 113 millions per year. Our salary for next year currently sit at a little over 77millions. Do the math. We have around 36 millions available before we hit tax to use this summer. We also have the 2.2 mill trade exemption from the Ibaka trade available which expire on 2/14/2018. SO we can ride with BIZ contract for the next two years w/o any problems.

Again, Dedmond didnt give us much when he was here. We were bad. He was fouling out constantly and his basketball IQ had a lot to desire. We needed to explore other options.

Im not saying it was a great signing. But we didnt have many options. It was not a bad idea and still think it can eventually work. Now... the Ibaka trade! Ibaka trade was weird to say the least. Another defensive minded player who was signed to be our primary offensive weapon. It didnt maked much Sense to me at the time. I compared that move as playing black or red in a roulette game. It didnt work. Now... we got good return back from that mistake. A late first and Ross which I am hoping will be good for us next year after a full training season under his belt.

Not only that but the cap situation is very different as it was 2-3 years ago. Biz signing doesnt affect our cap situation in any way. We have to show free agents that we are willing to pay. The money is there. Biz contract can be move easely if needed. I still think he can help us greatly in the defensive end. You pay for offense and you pay for defensive players as well. He is also considered to be one of the best pick and roll active players in the league. When we get a better point guard and better perimeter shooters you will soon realize how important that will be. Not to mentioned that he is the only energetic guy that we currently have. Dedmond had the same energy level but was fouling out constantly. Since it is bot my money and cap situation is bot a problem... i will take Biz hands down without hesitation.
