I dont think Hayward is leaving Utah, to be honest. He wants to get payed. If he stays he can get 180 millions vs 132 in Boston. Also, Hayward could also choose to become the franchise's "Designated Player" under the new collective bargaining agreement, which would allow him to earn approximately $235 million over the next six years by staying in Utah.

I dont think it is us. But if it is us, it is likely a move that will include a player and future first rounders. Honestly I will stay at 6 unless management was blown away by Tatum. I dont think Boston is truly that interested in drafting a player this year. They want players that can gelp NOW. They already have a bunch of young players. They have show interest in Vuc but I dont think that will be enough for them to move from 3 to 6. But I will go for that. They are most likely doing a deal with either Indiana or Chicago. They are swapping picks and likely next year first for a deal that includes George.

I remember people saying the same thing about JJ 2 years into his rookie contract. Same scenario. People complaining about his playing time vs others with the he suck, waste of pick behavior. He needs more time.

I will be ok with that. How accurate is this that Im hearing that we are working towardsgetting another top 10 pick or at least making calls to those teams? Are we trying to get another pick, moving down or moving up? I like the fact that management is Working tge phones. I was told and you guys know this already that they are very high on this french PG kid that I dont know much about. If we can get tatum/jackson/ isaac with our 6 pick and later this kid with another top 10 pick then I guess we will be ok. I just doent know much about him yet.

POLL: Who would you rather see the Magic get at the 6th spot?
magicdoc1 replied to TyMagic's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Kyle lowry suffered an ACL injury in college and look at him now. Chris Paul also suffered one and still is considere a top5 PG in this league. Rubio is another example. My point is that ACL injuries shouldnt be a factor in the decision at this point. -
I agree. I think people are making a big deal out of this. A lot of people had Noah in the top 5 as well. I remember even people at this chat had Noah AND Exum above Gordon. That been said, I dont think that board didnt mean anything as they ended up picking Staukas over Noah. I know that the owner push for Staukas but Noah would it been a better pick for them. So again, I dont kniw what the bIg deal is.

Very smart hire by the magic! If things doesn't go well over the next 2 years, they just found the perfect person to blame. Just an escape route. They will fire him and we all be content. Again.
-
Adebayo will be poking eyes out! Seriously, that is scary. His rate of either fracturing or spraining fingers is relatively high. 2nd rounder now.
-
4-30! No way. He is not going to work under our current offense. I rather have Biz. No more overpaying on 15 minute per game type of players. We need to spen money on starter material. Use the second rounders for bench role players.

Toronto GM Jeff Weltman new President of Basketball Ops
magicdoc1 replied to Jason Funderburker's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
It will be interesting to see the level of competency among active GM's instead of Teams. I believe our current GM and President of Operation have 2. That makes us a little more competent and above most of the other Teams. Surely an improvement! -

Can someone explain to me the reasoning in firing ALL of our scouts and personell 30 days before the Draft?(if the reports are accurate). This makes me nervous as we have four picks on this year draft. My guess is that the Magic already got what they needed from them or the new hire comes with his new team and scouting reports. I am not excited nor disspointed. At this point, you have to ride the train and see where it takes you. -
Call me crazy but I think Ball is slightly overrated. I am not sure if he is even better than Fox or Smith at the PG position. Fox did outplayed him and his defense is way much better. Smith is a very intriguing guy that can be as good as fultz or as "bad" as Muday. The Lakers will make a big mistake by taking Ball over Jackson. Jackson and tatum are both better options for them at the moment.
-
Yep. That was the reaction of most when Boggie trades were discussed, yet they did it for less. I did read somewhere Those teams were looking to trade away their picks. Maybe it was Sacramento 2nd first round pick. I figured we can offer something like our second first round pick, Payton, Fournier and future first round for their pick and bad salary back.
-
I will keep the #6 pick. Work with Sacramento or Minnesota and maybe offer a combination of Payton, Fournier and our late first round pick for the #5 or #7 pick respectively. Maybe we can finish the Draft with a combination of either Fox/Smith and Monk/Isaac/tatum. That will be sweet.
-
I honestly think he will not be that good. I dont see anything he does at the moment that will translate well to the Nba once he start facing decent talent. He reminds me of MCW.
-
I will wait until they reach the clearance rack at Ross for $19.99.
-
There are even reports out there stating that he even copied the BBB logo from zone 6!
-
Im sorry, but who is who?
-
If we can somehow manage to trade our 2 first rounders and one of our second round picks to Sacramento for their 2 lottery first round picks. We could end up with Smith/Fox and Isaac.
-
Hope for a close loss and Philadelphia win today!
-
It seems clear to me that we will end up with the #5 spot. I see Fultz, Ball, Jackson gone in the first 3 picks. Not sure what philadelphia wants to do. Maybe they will go with either Monk or Smith. Our options are: Smith Monk Fox Tatum Isaac I think we should go whoever is left between Monk and Smith followed by Tatum.
-
Good. That helps. He will be the one going out with DJ and Biz.
-
Men. I hear you and get it but there is still a small chance than neither will be here next year.

The real question: Does Martins need to go too?
magicdoc1 replied to the notorious S.A.C.'s topic in Orlando Magic Forum
I think Martin has been successfull overall on his duties. That doesnt mean we are not in need for a change. Over the past 5 years everyone has been bad, from the Owner down to the cheerleaders, to the food vendors. At the last game I ordered a sriracha sandwich but they happened to ran out of sriracha sauce halfway the first quarter. I ended up eating a chicken sandwich with ketchup at a price of the Srichacha sandwich. -
We are just a tweak away. That tweak is replacing Henny in the offseason.
