    2017-2018 Official Season Discussion Thread

mmm... you can read again. I was just pointing out that this is the first time we are seeing Rozier playing significant minutes. He can be better that either of the 2017 PG draftees. At least, in my opinion. Lonzo had a good game yesterday against the SUNS but I dont see him producing at that level consistently. I think his FG's attempt were like 24 to 27 times yesterday. Way too much for a PG. It is early to really say, but It seems as he is more concern with his personal stats that anything else. He do have the potential to be good tho. I will like to see more of him.

I think so too but Rozier looks really good as well. Eventhough he is not a rookie, this is truly the first time we are seeing him play.

i dont disagree but A 14-22 pick last draft is still a top ten pick this upcoming year.

Boston already gave too much. Zizik was likely a top 10 pick this year. With that in mind, Cleveland got two top 10 first rounders, Crowder and an injured IA. I don't think they can get anything better in return than that. The Brooklin pick is extremely valuable. They need to stick to the plan. They surely will not get anything close to that and I dont see Kyrie going back to Cleveland.

They just need a 3rd team to take IT for another first or they will need to include Tatum now.

Now that the kyrie to Orlando craziness is over. If Payton shows no significant improvement on the first half of the season, should we go after Bledsoe?

I will not be surprised if we go after IT hard if that is the case. I will be extremely disappointed to say the least.

Vuc was the go to guy a few years ago. Not anymore. We cant win if he continues to be an offensive minded guy. We have guys that needs to be more involved in the offense. Gordon, Isaac and Payton to name a few. I want Vuc to step back and be more of a defensive minded guy. It is not about individual production. He can be decent in the defensive end and he is smart enough to get the passing game perfected as well. Hence why I think if he shoots less then the PPG will go down. His individual offensive production might go down but the team overall offense can improve significantly. We were at the bottom of the league last year when his fg attempts per game were high for a center.

I dont think he is. Fournier IS our current best player. I expect for Gordon to be better this year. Vuc is our 3-4 option now. Vuc needs to play the Pau Gasol style. Learn how to be a passing first big guy. I want him to average 4- 5 assists per game. He can do this with this core of young player. He also needs to improve his defense mentality. He can and has played very good sporadic defense in the past. He can be an average defender if he puts his mind on it. It will be great if he can average 12 points/ 8 rebounds/5 assits and 2 blocks per game.

https://www.google.com/amp/nba.nbcsports.com/2017/08/07/wolves-owner-wants-meeting-with-andrew-wiggins-before-max-contract-will-not-trade-star/amp/ He is getting the max. I dont think Payton will get anything close to the max. He will play this year for possible 12-15 mil multiyear contract. Gordon will be close to max if my opinion reason why I rather extend him now to a 20 mil per year contract if possible.

You are been too emotional here. He was a very good shooter playing several years in Europe prior joining the NBA. He was considered to be, by many a great shooter. His game somehow did not translated well in the NBA due to likely poor playing time, multiple coach changes or just pace of the game. He tried to adjust last year by releasing the ball faster which didnt help. He is now working On his technique and trying to play off the ball. Now, everyone is criticizing him for putting the work. That is all what we want from him now. I am not a fan of him but still believe in his potential. Whether that is been a great bench role player for us or Someone can bring some decent talent on a potential future trade. Will see how he does this year but to say he is garbage at this point is childish. He is still a very young player and continues to work on his game. He is only 22 years of age. Very similar age range as some of this year first round picks in semi ojele, justin Jackson,Luke, among others.

I dont think he is garbage at all. I dont know why people are giving a hard time. This is the first year he is really spending time in the offseason to improve his game and surely seems he is working on his jump shot. I am, for once, glad to see him putting the works. Lets give him a break and see how he performs this season. Until then, I reserve my judgement.

He is going to get waived as well. The reason why George Hunt was waived first is that he likely had other offers on the table and wanted to take advantage of those.

To show how bad this franchise has been for years my point is that we are now the 2006-2012 Sixers. Decent young players that needs to be develop. Imagined if the kept Jrue Holiday, Thadeus Young, Speights and Turner a little longer and add some other decent Free agents and yound draftees. Again, 2006-2012 reminds me of how we are at the moment. 2012-2016 sixers has been horrible and Im not sure 2017 and above will be any better. We haven't tank yet and look how bad we has been for the past 5 years. We cant afford to start the tanking now because we want to emulate a franchise movement that has not been proven to be effective.
