    2018 NBA Draft Thread

I like it but I think Mamba is getting pick in the top7-8. I think we can go with Young ans likely look at Jarren Jackson jr.out of michigan state as a late lottery pick. Very aggressive Defensive player that still can spread the offense due to his advanced shooting skills for a big guy. He can play both the PF and Center position. The other(less desired option if we loose on Young) is going for Ayton as our first round pick and go with Landry Shamet(pg whichita state)or Devonte Graham(pg kansas) with a very late first round pick. Both very long at 6’4 with great 3 point fg% at a high volume. We can keep Isaac in our roster with this scenario. All we need is formulate a trade with one of the other guys for a late first rounder.

4 will not be that bad of a position. You still end with one of ayton, doncic, young or Bagley. Even at a the 5 spot if we add Porter is still ok. Anything after the 5th will be detrimental.

The rookies needs experience. They need to get into the court. They need to build confidence. We have been losing for the past 6 years. I dont think you just sit the rookies afraid of them to develop into losers. We area losing already. I mean, look at JJ and Oladipo. Both players flourishing when you let them loose.

yes, but if you somehow trade DJ and dont resign Payton then he will have no option. well, unless he goes with Mack over the rookie. The question is what is he will do with Isaac next year. I think he should start him and let him develop in the court and not in practice.

I think we will be in a good spot to select the best PG in the Draft. The other teams that are close to us for a possible 1st round pick is: Atlanta: Schroeder Bulls: Dunn Lakers: Ball Mavs: Smith Jr Kings: Fox Grizzlies: Conley Nets: Russell. We have a good chance to get Young. Even if we end up with the 2-4 pick. As long as any of this teams do not trade their pick. I can see Memphis going for him as Conley is always injured but I dont see why any other teams will pick young over other players in the draft.

100 % agree and worth of a like. I was going to say the same thing. This kids talent is obvious. I saw Doncic playing live and what I saw of him is nothing close to the talent Young currently has. Doncic will be good but Young is special.

He reminds me of JJ Barea. A guy who is not afraid of his height, aggressive and who plays with passion. But just like Barea, he might have night like this and nights that will drive you crazy.

    2017-2018 Official Season Discussion Thread

I am not happy at all seeing where we are now and for the past 6 years. But When we look to the future, the only good path is to tank! Like I said, a top 3 pick in this year draft and likely some decent trade in the deadline will change our direction and will get us out from stagnation. It will give us hope. Now, if we decide to go for wins and finish the season with the 7-10 spot in this draft and no trades are made, then we will remain in stagnation mode and will be in a very tough position. That is what I meant.

I don't think we are really in a “bad spot”. We are in the “right spot”at the moment. We should continue with the tanking and see if we can get a top 3 player in this year talented draft. I also want to see how we do with trades. We will be in a really bad spot if we start winning and end up with a #7-10 pick.

Ehh.. if we can get their first round pick and get rid of DJ’s contract in the process I will be ok. 1. It is a move that helps with the tanking. 2. We will be almost the same minus DJ’salary as Fournier and Jackson have similar salaries. 3. He is still an upgrade over EP, in my opinion. 4. 2 first rounds picks on this year draft is priceless and If Detroit continues to struggle, this could be 2 lottery picks.

    Magic vs Cavs

I did not know that. What if we trade him first and go after him in the offseason?

    Magic vs Cavs

We can still sign Mario. I am expecting some trades going down this season. Likely to open our cap room. If we can get rid of a combination of Vuc, DJ, mack, Ross and/or fournier contracts then we can sign Mario for a 7-8 mill per multi-year contract. Similar to Simmons contract. I lkke the fact he can play the SG, SF and PF position.

That was the lineup I wanted to see last year when Ibaka was here Payton, Fournier, Mario, Gordon, Ibaka. Ohh well... i guess Biz will do for now.

    2018 NBA Draft Thread

I saw him playing while I was in Madrid. He is really really good. He is a combo guard. A weird combination of rubio and wade. He is only 18 and was clearly the leader in that team. He is going to be special for sure. Court vision was great. Shooting abilities were pretty good and can shoot the 3’s. The only issue I saw with him was his defense. He can get lazy at times. I dont know how he will do against faster PG’s in NBA.

What isn’t. Hennigan? Dwight? Oladipo? Isaac? Mario? Tobias? JJ?. Soo many things. I think last year Dwight was not irrelevant. He is surely better than Biz(attitude aside). We need to stop with the “nice guy for this organization” statements and we need to start signing some “bad guys” as well. (Matt Barnes, rafer alston, brandon Bass, etc...)

Mmm.. I think Clarkson is still under contract til 2020 at 13 millions per year. Why do you said he will not be on the team next year? Unless I am reading it wrong.
