Let me clarify something here with Noel. According to reports, he had an acl tear and was repaired successfully. As long as that is accurate, he will be able to perform at a high level without a significant problem. He is young and should heal rather quickly. As a physician, i can reassure you that if this is the only problem he had, he will be 100%. An acl repair will cause only functional issues which could be address with intense therapy. Now, if he had some associated meniscal injury, the rehab and prognosis is different. This, even when repaired, can still cause future stability issues as well as potential further injuries down the road. He currently weights around 220 pounds, so extra 30-40 pounds he might eventually need to be nba body ready can adversively affect his knees. Lets not forget that dwight had also knee issues coming out of high school and he is still doing well. Again, ACL injury only go for it and take him without any doubt. You might need him to rest him and rehab for at least 12 months. ACL plus other potential injuries(meniscus, other ligaments) considering his weight and how active he is- I will pass. That is my personal and likely most MD opinion.

I think you are forgetting about rashard lewis. But your point is accurate. Even With Rashard, we had to overpaid him in order for him to sign with orlando. Most of the free agents will ended up looking into either the LA, texas or even chicago franchises. Whoever is smart, they should stdy indiana, memphis, cleveland and orlando situation as they seems to have a bright future ahead. Just my opinion.

I agree with you but the reason why perkins and BBD are involved in the trade is to make it sweeter for them so we can get Lamb in the deal. We can't just do afflalo for a pick deal as we have to take some salary back in order for this to work. We can do afflalo for thabo and their toronto first with the other part of the trade been BBD for perkins and lamb.

Another interesting scenario that might be an option trading bbd and afflalo to OkC for their lottery pick, lamb, thabo and perkins. They own the raptors first pick if it goes past the first 3 spot. It might ended up been a 6-7 pick. We can select a combination of noels and burke( if available) and have lamb as our potentail sg down the road. Thabo is an expiring and perkins vs. BBD will be a lateral move SALARY wise. Burke/jameer/moore J-lamb/thabo/Dlamb Mo/harris Harris/Andrew/oquinn Nic/perkins/oquinn I expect hedo and harrington either traded for future picks or bought out of contract. Noel will be sidelined for the year to rehab.. This line up will give is a decent run for the first pick in 2014 and enough money to go after big free agents.

He is what you see. Dont see him getting better as we might see with Smart. I was ok with smart staying, although he could it have gone in the top five this year. he is still going to be a lotto player next year. I prefer for all the players to stay in school as i am pro education but most of the players goal is to be NBA players and not business people. He is loosing a lot of money by staying in school.. Tim hardaway jr was in the same boat but he elected to skip his last year of college to enter the draft. He likely be a late first round this year. He was going to be a second rounder next year.
