I dont think we are done here. I think Dwight is a jerk and I dont think anyone will offer him a max. At least in places he might consider playing. I see only Two options where he wants to play. Those are Dallas and Orlando. I dont think any of those two teams will pay him anything above 18 per year. Then there are teams like Boston, Portland he might consider yet I dont see them paying him max money either. If it is for the money he will likely end up in charlotte or a depleted Atlanta team. This are probably the only teams that are interested and can offer him max money. Atlanta only of they loose Horford and Teague in the offseason. And i see Boston after either Okafor or Noel instead. I honestly think it will be between Dallas, Portland and Orlando. He is not getting max money.

I get that you dont like the guy. I think we all dislike him in some way as a person due to the way he handle things in the past. He is still a good player. Now, you said something about placing ourselves to keep succeding year after year. We have not succeded at anything yet. We are still one of the worst team in the league going 4 years under Henny. I see that you like the guy and so do I but he is walking on a very thin line at the moment. He needs to start making moves to put is in a position to Win now. Not more thinking about rebuilding for the future. We have not seen that urgency from him just yet until just recently when he signed Vogel to a very good deal.

I think we need to look at him as a viable option. I just dont see any other free agent that is willing to llay with us NOW. We cant wait another year. I dont think Henny can't afford another loosing season. Dwigth is an upgrade at the center. It can work with Vogel. I rather have Horford but i dont see him coming this way. Im not sure about other free agents not coming here because of Howard. I dont think that will be the case. I, however, CAN tell you that if we DONT do anything rest assure noone will come. Henny needs to be more creative with trades tho. Maybe we can get Butler for a trade involving Vuc, our pick and sign and trade Fournier. I think the combination of Dwight, oladipo and Butler will be more enticing for other free agents to come. Maybe this will entice Conley to come here. IDK.i just dont want to close the doors on possible options out there. Even with Dwight.

Valid points and that is how i felt before. However, he is still cares on how people think of him. He wants to end his career in a good note. That is why I think he might be sincere. He is working harder than ever to improve his game this offseason. He already has hired two different trainers to work kn bis game. He never did that before. He was too arrogant to admit that he needed to inprove his game. He worked with hakeem before but it was just for a a few days and was mainly really to gather more attention. I think even in that last interview he even described himself and Harden asa potential little kobe and Shak duo. Weird.

Maybe. But then they have to play Simmons at PF and Keep covington (6'9)at SF. This will make it more difficult for embiid, Saric, okafor and Noel to coexist. Not to mention jeremy Grant(6'8) and hollis Thompson(6'8) who also play that SF position. Too many players playing the same position. They need PG's and Shooting guards. I will not be surprise if the pass on Simmons just because of their need at the SG position.

This makes more sense. However, Philly is likely looking for more than just this year pick. I see them moving more than just one player. Covington, Saric and likely one of their big is on the block for sure. That, if they go with simmons.

I think Okafor is more valuable than the 3rd pick in this year draft. I dont think philly will do it unless Boston gives them at least two first round picks.

Well.. He has never said like that. Again, I think he knows know that this is his last contract and wants to do it right. I dont see any other team he will suceed other than Orlando, Portland or Dallas. I think playing for Vogel will be good. Vogel is a great big guy coach. Look what he did with Hibbert and most recently Turner. He can make Dwight really good. Number 12 is available again.

I honestly think he has change. He seems to be more mature now than how he was 8 years ago. I think he now knows and understand that he is not truly the super star he once was and likely not the best player in a team. He is still a great defender and I will welcome him back if he really shows more commitment toward his player and coach. He also seems to be healthy again. I dont recall what my vote was but I will change my vote to yes if i voted no.

I, 100%, agree. I even think Payton knows that this is his year. He will have to push himself to his limit. Play better defense and improve his IQ desicion in the court. I know he is working on his shooting and likely will be better on that department. I see one Magic player making the all star game this year. Whether is Oladipo, Gordon, Vucevic or more likely the free agent we might ended up signing this year. I think Vogel will take this team to the playoff for sure.

I just hope that Vogel doesn't do a Billy Donovan on us. Im just going to hold on any emotions until I see this finalized and I hear it from him.

I agree. We either need to go for a defensive minded rim protector that we can develp or a PG. I think we need to start playing Gordon more in a PF position and likely go with either Mario at SF.

There has to be something more into this story. My opinion in the matter is that Hennigan and Skile were not getting along in some of the moves. Skiles wanted to be more in control. He probably went to Martin for support which likely did not get. Martin tried to convinced him to stay as a Coach only duty but SKiles Arrogances was to much. He decided to quit. I think Hennigan likely has already informed management of some moves he might do in the offseason and Skile did not liked. Skiles probably wanted to trade some of the young core players (Elfrid, Mario or Dipo)and Henny didn't wanted to hear. Remember, this are players that Henny drafted. or maybe, just maybe... Dwight if pushing his way back to Orlando and wanted SKILES fired. :shard:

Even if that happens, I see him going back to his hometown in california above us. The Lakers also have plenty of cap and will need someone to replace kobe. If for some weird reason he sign with us then we will likely have to move Dipo.

I think everyone here will like to have Derozan. But more than likely he will ended up staying in Toronto. He has a good thing going on there and there are reports stating that he wants to stay. I doubt he leaves Toronto for the Magic. Same goes with Durant and in some extent Batum as well. We have better chances in trading for guys like Butler or Irving and sign guys like Horford, Howard, Parson, Deng, Noah or Gasol.

Yes. I will call atlanta and offer vucevic, cj watson and iur 2016 first round pick for sign and trade Horford, and Teague. That eill allow us sign another possible max( whiteside,Parson, Batum, Harrison) and anothe submax( Gasol, Noah, howard, fournier, deng) Teague/Elfrid Dipo/Hezonja/pick Parson/Hezonja/marble Horford/Gordon/pick Howard/Dedmon not bad at all. We can be top 3 in the East for sure.

I think peoole are way to emotional here. This is sports not reality drama tv. You do what is best for the team to win. Dwight is not the same player as he was once but is still a very good defender capable to do 15 ppg amd 10 rbg with 2 bpg. He is not a very likeable basketball player but has always been good for the community here and in houston. I still see 4more years in him. Now, saying that, he is not a max player. I think 18 to 22 mills per year is fair. Nothing more. If he brings others with him then i will be all for it. Im ok with a combination of dwight/horford/whiteside and Derozan/chandler/batum and sign a 3rd good role bench player Scola/biyombo/noah/deng/green/terrence jones/jr smith/crabble. Im ok letting Fournier go if we can get two players out of that bunch with his salary. So if we can get Dwight, Derozan, jones and deng/crabble and later trade vUc for a guy like teague then we will be back on top. Teague/Payton Dipo/Hezonja Derozan/Deng Gordon/Jones Dwight/Dedmon I will not mind getting Dwight back with this scenario.

Thats too many high scoring players in one team. Holiday, Dipo, Derozan and Fournier likes to shoot. At least 10 to 15 fg per game. Holiday 14.3 fg per game Derozan 18.8 per Oladipo 13.5 Fournier 11.5 Whiteside 9 Gordon. 7 That is a total of 74 per game. Someone have to give in. as long as Dipo and Fournier understand that they will likely be our 3rd and 4th offensive option then will be ok. whiteside and Gordon need to shift their role into a more defensive minded option. They likely will not get many shots. Also, hezonja game will change into a more "Ray allen" role. Playing without the ball. Watson will be perfect as a back up. Defense will be great tho.
