Im not saying that. I said before that we need to stand still this year and see how everything plays out. If Ibaka stays and everything works as planned next summer then we need to explore that option. If we Have any strong indication That PG will be signing with us in 2018 then we have to try to trade Vuc for picks and cap space.

Yes. Or we can star clearing space this year. Hence why I think we will ended up trading Vuc for picks and expiring deals to clear more cap space. It is not an easy process but im sure Vogel and Henny knows by now if PG is truly interested in signing here or no. So if we trade VUC for nothing... Dont get upset, it is possible that we will be signing PG in 2018.

I will love nothing less than that. I honestly think we need to stand still anf work on getting PG in 2018 or next year on a trade if he let Indiana knows of his intention to leave.

No im not mistaken and yes, you are correct. We are talking about Westbrook which will be an UFA for the 2017/2018 season. If we sign him, he will clearly be our PG for the future w/o any doubt. Payton will be a RFA after that season(2018) as you well said. If our intentions is to go after westbrook and he agree to sign with us, we likely have to move Payton later that season before letting him go for nothing. He holds a cap of around 4 millions if we dont trade him before 2018. My point is that Payton likely will be asking for more than 10 per year. All depends on his production this year of course. For a back up PG i rather go for someone in a rookie contract or at least around 5 million per year when you have a guy like Westbrook as as your starting PG. i will love to keep both here but I dont see that happening when you likely have to pay Gordon as well. And if we want to go after PG later, we need to clear even more space.

His rookie contract is up. He will be a RFA after next year.

Why? Westbrook will be an UFA. We can pray him in the offseason if needed w/o loosing Gordon. Also, we have not seen how Payton does. That is the big question. If he does well, im sure we will stand still.

If you go after Westbrook why will you keep Payton on a large contract?

You know well I dont. I was just presenting nother option. It is believed that ibaka had more problems with Westbrook offense more than Durant. If we are going after Westbrook then we need to consider that option as going after both is not desirable for either of them.

That is bot the only scenario. It is the easiest but not the only one. We can trade DJ and let Ibaka walk. Keeping payton as a back up PG. we have to also consider that Payton and Gordon will be on their contract year. I just dont see us keeping both.

Well.. With last year team kawhi was my choice but with the current team I rather go with Paul George. If i have to pick one to build a team around, I will go Paul George hands down.

I just noticed. Not sure if it was mentioned. Jason Smith agree on a 3 year contract with Washington. 5millions per year. Pretty good deal. Also, I saw the Henny asked Payton to be present in the meeting when they were recruitingad interviewing Bismarck and Gordon was present for the ones with DJ and Green.

Looking at Portland offseason moves..WOW. . You give up Crappe for Turner on a horrible contract and then you somehow, has not other option other than celebrate the Napier move. Just like we did when we traded a second for him last year. They still have no big and hoping for a trade for either Kanter or Vuc. Ouch.

Vuc - Should he stay or go?

I just dont see us trading Vuc yet unless it is for a starter SF. I think we will wait until the season ends to see howthe Ibaka situation plays out. If ibaka leaves and/or doesnt work out, we can still have a front court of Vuc, Biy, Gordon, Z. This will give us the option of letting Ibaka go and sign a guy like russell, paul, Blake etc.. W/O going over the cap.

Why does people think OKC will be trading Westbrook now that Durant left? He is THE GUY now. He can get more money there and OKC will try to get another piece next summer to once again be a top team in the West. I am still looking forward to the see how the Oladipo-Westbrook duo works out and they still have a great coach in Donovan. It sucks that OKC waited so long for his decision instead going forward aggressively with another high level free agent. They could it got Barnes or even Green. Nevertheless, they will have a ton of money next year and can pray another star. They might go all in after Griffin and/or even Ibaka.

well... When Ibakas, green and cj contracts come off the book next year we will have 31-32 millions available. If there is a junp on the cap for another 10 millions then We willl have around 40 millions.

Considering next year FA and if or should i say when Durant sign a one year deal with OKC. The team will have to deal with 3 FA's that will be asking for Max money in Oladipo, Durant and Westbrook. I dont see them signing the 3 on a long term deal. We can pray one of those guys(hopefully westbrook) away from them.
