Just now, OnlyFranz said:WCJ underwhelming again as well as GH. When we get some competent pieces on this team we will take the next step. Either way I’m proud of our guys for stepping up and making a statement. Hopefully we can keep it up in the 2nd half.
Go sign Monk and Hartenstein, let Fultz and GH walk.

Missed goaltend. Fire all 3 of these clowns
-
I know it’s frustrating to watch y’all, but if Cleveland is force feeding Allen as their only offensive option, that’s a very very good thing
-
Too bad we have to waste a challenge on such an obvious call. This crew sucks
-
Full bench lineup again.. unreal
-
Let’s gooooo!!!!
-
Didn’t have Fultz as the first man up on my bingo card. Questioning the decision making m, how I’m wrong
-
I complain about Foster, but Curtis Blair is the most incompetent ref in the league.
-
Somebody is gonna have to explain to me how we’re making Jarrett Allen look like prime Hakeem Olajuwon this series. It just doesn’t make any sense
-
We’re dominating the glass early with this lineup at least. Shots will fall. Just gotta keep executing
-
Holy **** guys, come the ***** on
-
Same **** different game on offense so far. Executing, getting wide open looks, can’t make a damn shot

Yep, needed to happen. We need someone to goon with Allen down low. JI at the 5 doesn’t work in this matchup at all

Back to the normal starting 5. Carter starting, Isaac back to 6th man

People focus on the 5 and whether Isaac should start in that lineup, which he hadn't done all season. I think it's a fair question, although I'm not sure of the answer. To me the bigger issue is that neither Suggs nor Harris is even close to a point guard. We've seen repeatedly against better teams that having no point guard out there is not a recipe for success.
I don’t think CT had any inside info on the projected starting lineup, just going off of what it’s been the first 2 games. If we don’t switch it up, we deserve to lose.

Looks like we get the Scott Foster crew tonight. Get ready to be frustrated

4 hours ago, CTMagicUK said:Cavs lead the series 2-0 but this is the first game at Kia Center. Magic are -1.5 point favorites.
Game is on NBATV in the US.
Projected starting lineups:
Cavs:
Darius Garland
Donovan Mitchell
Max Strus
Evan Mobley
Jarret Allen
Injury Report: Dean Wade, Ty Jerome, Craig Porter all OUT
Magic:
Jalen Suggs
Gary Harris
Franz Wagner
Paolo Banchero
Jonathan Isaac
Injury report: None (thankfully)
Let's get it!
(This thread isn't nearly as hype as a TMF made one so apologies for that but it's still somewhere to discuss the game)
Line has moved slightly in our favor this morning to -2.5. Surprising, I thought the Vegas money would push it the other direction after the feel of the first couple games.
Let’s get it! First home playoff game in Orlando in ages! If any of y’all are going tonight, make sure to make your energy felt!!!

I believe the line is “quit playing games with my heart” :)

I don’t understand how Spo keeps doing this… this Heat team without Butler has no business in the playoffs, let alone beating a 60+ win Celtic team in Boston.

I'm looking at the highlights of Fultz performance in 2022 - 2023 which was a season ago. In the 2022-2023 season, he was ready to go and playing loose after rehabing from injuries. I'm looking at the highlights then and the way Fultz is playing now.
He did'nt start the 2023-2024 season because I think he had a relapse (injury wise) before the season started.
So, AB, who was drafted began the 2023-2024 season as the starting point guard. Being a rookie you could tell that he wasn't nba ready to take over that role. So, as the season progressed, the coach allowed Franz and Banchero to be the primary ball handlers. Cole was the backup point guard playing with the secondary unit coming off the bench.
More than halfway through the regular season, when Fultz was injury free, Mosley continued to let Franz and Paolo be the primary ball handlers. Fultz was not allowed to get his starting role back.
If you look at the highlights from a year ago, and I know there are snipets, look at the spacing of the floor. When Fultz was crashing the board, you did not see Franz or Paolo clogging up the paint.
Now, I don't think that Fulz has lost his confidence. it's because he knows that Franz and Paolo were allowed to be the primary ball handlers for the latter half of the regular season and the first 2 games of the playoffs. So, in Fultz mind, he was not a part of that game plan. He, along with other teammates, stood around and/or in the corner watching.
I think it was/is a problem with the coaching and lack of game planning--just letting the team play loose (backyard).
That's just my opinion. So, go ahead and give me downvotes if that's your pleasure.
I don’t think I’ve ever given you a downvote and to get one out of me you really really gotta earn it lol.. I agree with you that Mosely either needs to do the Xs and Os better or find someone to hire who can.

If the Suns flame out again with this old core, I wonder if they blow it up. If Booker goes on the block are we interested?

26 minutes ago, CTMagicUK said:Very true. Though I think the Cavs would cross match and have Strus guard Isaac and keep Mobley on Paolo.
Presents a decent opportunity for Isaac to get on the offensive glass but I think the Cavs would feel ok with that given they'd have Allen + Mobley down there to contest boards. Otherwise can't imagine the Cavs are concerned about Isaac post ups or anything.
Yeah, it’s probably too risky to start with that lineup, but I’d be happy to see it rolled out at some point during the game to see how it goes. Ugh, is it tomorrow yet? I need to get the taste of the first 2 games out my mouth!

15 minutes ago, CTMagicUK said:I've thought a lot about that Suggs/Franz/Paolo/Isaac/WCJ lineup to be the starters but my main concerns are:
Can Franz guard one of Garland or Mitchell?
Will Strus just kill us because Paolo can't chase him around screens?
Yeah, definitely get this thought process, but I’d be willing to risk it with the advantage it *should* present on the other side of the ball with Mitchell and Strus trying to guard Paolo and Franz.

Also, WCJ is having a solid game. Can’t measure him by how many points he’s scored. He’s containing the big fella down low and he’s setting some incredible screens to create looks on offense
