Mitchell is trying to pull off an Isaiah Thomas (former Piston) where Zeke played through a  playoffs badly limping. But Mitchell's training staff might inject him with something that will have him flying like superman in game 7.

Yeah, there’s gonna be gamesmanship with injury reports, but a 36 hour turnaround is gonna be rough on him and Mobley. I don’t think there’s any way they miss a game 7, but they could both be hobbled. I expect Allen back for them too, and I hope we get Gary back.

Maybe Gary Harris is a better defender than most would have thought? Really missing his defense tonight that's for sure. JI is a fabulous person and a great defender. However, at times he can be a bit soft. Remember the old saying "no easy layups?" There was a time when Mitchell and Garland would have been smacked a few times going in for those layups. Definitely don't want to injure anyone or be dirty. But at least make your presence felt and make them earn a few of these. Make them think twice about going in there.

Gary is an awesome perimeter defender, but the issue is that both Isaac and Franz don’t possess the lateral quickness for the Cavs all-star backcourt due to their size.

Okay so I went to check the mail and hit the bathroom, and saw we are getting run over 13-2 so far in the 3rd.  What happened?  Did we forget to come back out of the locker room?

The big lineup isn’t fast enough to keep up with the Mitchell and Garland backcourt. They’re getting anything they want. He couldn’t shoot worth a damn, but not having Gary on defense is killing us

Still angry about that loss. We had a great lucky break in the right moment with the absence of Allen and didn't take advantage of it (could have attacked more the paint a lot of times, especially considering our outside shooting)

When a game is that close, every little detail counts. A lot of forum members already indicated FT and TO's. Let me insist on rotations... we played again 6/7 minutes without any starter. And then some crazy ones where the PG was actually a SG (Suggs), the SG was a SF (Franz), the SF was a PF (Ingles) and the PF was a C (Isaac). With Isaac guarding a lot of times Garland or Mitchell in those situations. I love him and he's a wonderful defender, but that's asking too much, and also a big risk to have another injury while chasing those fast guards.

Without those weird choices, we could have won that one away, Also, coach should make choices considering who's performing in that game and who's not. (I'm looking at you, Cole)

This might be a hot take, but I don’t think Allen being out for them helped us at all. Even tho he was putting up monster numbers it was at the detriment of better players. Mobley at the 5 really hurt us, especially with how late the news came in and so little time to adjust.

The situation you’re referring to at the end of the game with Isaac guarding Mitchell I believe is because of the Harris injury. We’ve consistently played Harris and Suggs on Garland and Mitchell all series, and Gary couldn’t play in the 2nd half. His shot has been way off this series, but his defense has been really good and if he can’t go tomorrow I’ll be curious to see how we respond.

Just to keep it real here, a lot of Paulo's turnovers are no-look passes to the top of the arc right into defenders hands, and his handle is often too high and loose. That's all on him. Additionally, Paulo's defense has a lot of room for growth. In regards to the Franz playmaker bit, the numbers tell a different story, as he's averaging more assists than Paulo in the playoffs with far less of a usage rate (22% vs 32%). Honestly, our guard play is so bad and inconsistent on offense that's hard for me to get a read on Paulo and Franz's ceilings right now.

Yeah, agreed. Half court offense is pretty much limited to either Paolo iso or Franz iso and you’re right Paolo’s handle is waaayyyy too loose. I can’t wait to get a competent offensive guard in here.

When has Joe had offensive highs? He is barely better than Cole at this point. As far as Paolo in game 7 he will definitely gets his chance to shine because he will take the opportunity he is not shy. His passing is his weakness. He is willing sometimes to pass but his vision is not good. I’m still not sure him and Franz are a good pairing. They seem to work better when the other is off the floor. Their games are maybe to similar.

I think Joe was a +12 in 10 minutes last night. First good game of the series for him, and he’s not a long term piece.

I’m impressed by Paolo because he’s doing what he’s doing as the only consistent offensive threat. The turnovers are frustrating but they’re a result of how bad the half court offense is. I cant wait to see Paolo with a secondary playmaker that is a threat to score and can set him up for some easy shots. Right now everything he does is so damn difficult, and he’s still playing at a high level. Franz isn’t a playmaker for others on O imo. He’s an iso guy and if he can’t get his jumpshot back, he’s not gonna fit long term with Paolo.
