So… everybody is staying put except for Kyle Lowry.. lol.. and the Heat just went wild spending all their money. I can’t think of a more perfect match than Flop Lowry and the Miami Heat. Least favorite player joins least favorite team.

Lakers are rumored to be adding Melo, Derozan, Dwight all on paycuts this off-season. It’s hard to imagine a more boring, less likeable squad if they do.

Interesting to hear this. There’s also something very interesting I noticed, when the Raptors picked Barnes, Suggs had both hands clinched almost like a double fist pump, and seemed really excited. He’s also super tight with RJ Hampton. I’m not suggesting he would tank a workout on purpose, but I get the vibe that he didn’t want to go to Toronto.

This is an absurd take. Dwayne Bacon led the team in minutes. Terrence Ross and Otto Porter were held out all but like 2 games after the trade deadline because we were too close to winning them. We had significant minutes played by Brazdeikis, Randle, Hall, Thornwell and Wagner down the stretch. We’ll probably struggle at points to win some games this year just because of how young we are, but it’ll have nothing to do with our tank last season. If anything, players like Cole and RJ, who will be back this year, were outright defiant over the idea of losing on purpose.

This is just me absolutely guessing based on reading through available free agents, but I wonder if we’d use part of the MLE to bring in Paul Milsap to help mentor and toughen up our young front court

Still on a high after last night. We got two of the most nba ready (while still young) 2-way players in the draft. Our only players that can’t effectively play multiple positions in today’s nba are WCJ and Bamba.

I understand the frustration over past 2nd round picks being moved and drafts “flattening out” but we need to think of this situation differently. We currently have 2 rookies 3 2nd year 2 4th year and 2 5th year players with guaranteed spots on our roster. We’ve got plenty of youth to develop and we need to use our remaining roster space for some vets for these young fellas

Oh, I’ve seen it. Hence why he hasn’t been traded yet. I’d never pay that price for him, obviously, but if we could get him for cheap, would we consider it?

This is admittedly a crazy thought, but hey, draft night is fun for crazy thinking. If we could get Ben Simmons for a combination of Ross or Harris/one of our guards (let’s say Cole for hypotheticals) and a first, would you? Fultz/Suggs RJ/Harris Simmons/Franz Isaac/Chuma Carter/Bamba just thinking… lol

Weltman hasn’t given us any reason to believe he’s willing to bring in 3 rookies. Also has already done a presser and said “it was a great night for the Magic”. We’re more likely to trade out off 33 than trade back in late 1st

For real. Franz and JI both might be able to play 5, which is great with WCJ and Mo both in the last year of rookie deals that are questionable to extend
