Could be a real nice opportunity to throw minutes to a guy at his position that hasn’t played in 3 years, that apparently “looks great” and is a “full go” in practice.

Good thoughts. I respectfully disagree that we need to add more young talent. We have plenty of that. I’d like to see us trade for a vet role player that fits our guys’ timeline, somebody like Gary Trent, and make a run for the play-in. Also would be fine if we stood pat outside of seeing what draft capital we could get or improve for guys like Ross and Bamba who are probably gone next year no matter what. I think our biggest need is a Plumlee type big who we can bring in off the bench when Wendell sits that can keep up the interior defense and rebound. Bol and Bamba are shot blockers, but that doesn’t mean they’re good interior defenders.

I agree. It’s trade Ross for whatever we can get for him, and if we can’t get a deal done, buy him out after the deadline.

Isaac and Suggs were both full participants in practice today, according to Moseley. Wouldn’t put a timeline on when they’d be available, but sounds like it could be close

I don’t think one has anything to do with the other here. His $ 17.4 million base salary becomes fully guaranteed on 1/10/23, if we cut him before that date his contract is only partially guaranteed for $16 million. Same kicker in his contract the next two years where if we cut him before 1/10/24 (assuming he’s still on the roster) he’s only partially guaranteed for $7.4 million; and his contract in the last year is unguaranteed if he’s cut before 1/10/25.

It’s weird with Paolo over the last few, he’s not getting any of the foul calls he was getting earlier in the season and he’s getting called for ticky tack everything. I think the foul that cost us the ATL game is in his head and affecting his confidence, and I think the league sent the refs a memo saying to start treating him more like a rookie.

Sadness… finally didn’t give up 60+ in the first half, so we followed it up by giving up 42 in the 3rd. All that momentum did a complete 180. Need to get past the suspensions and find a way to turn this back around, the inconsistency is so frustrating

I agree, and hopefully they revisit this rule based on this circumstance when the off-season gets here.

The auto suspensions for leaving the bench are stupid, but they are what they are, the league is very by the book on that rule and always has been. My biggest issue is Hayes. Only 3 games for him after that BS is ridiculous, thought he deserved 8-10

Refs were bad, no doubt, and they always will be versus LeBaby and Co, but we weren’t winning this one regardless. Wasn’t 8 on 5, it was like 8 on 3. Really only Franz, Kelle and WCJ came to play

Really frustrating game. All the fundamentals have been forgotten for us tonight, Russell Westbrook forgot he sucks for one game and the defensive effort and energy has just been bad. Also, the rotation has been super strange, not sure what’s going on there.

The league has to do something about these 50/50 charge/block calls. Refs are horrible at them and they swing the game significantly for a momentum standpoint. I’d love to see charges be a thing of the past.

Officiating is suspect as it usually is when you have to play against LA. Foster and Zorba are clowns. People aren’t watching games for a ref show that puts good players on the bench

56% from the field for the Lakers and 9 first half Threes. It’s not a coincidence that every team has their best shooting night of the season against us, we literally just watch people shoot. Lucky to be down 10, another first half where we let a team score in the mid 60s
