Franz live ball turnovers killing us in this one

Refs came out of the locker room wearing Celtics Green. Great

Love the physicality. Somebody gonna have to knock Pritchard on his ass, but can’t ask for much more out of this first half.

Boston opening as -13.5 seems super disrespectful -

Feel like that’s harsh, all things considered. If he had mentioned staying put at the deadline as one of the reasons for the grade, I’d understand a bit more. Injuries are uncontrollable and to finish .500 in spite of them and without making moves, I’d give us at least a C+/B-. -
2025 Play-In Tournament: Magic Vs Hawks 04/15/25 7.30PM

The NBA literally had to change the rules because Trae and Harden’s foul-baiting was so out of hand a couple seasons ago. They’ll probably need to revisit the rules again this off-season, or train their refs to be better at their jobs. SGA isn’t as egregious as Trae, but I will give you that he seeks contact first before trying to actually play offense. I agree that Porter and Bridges shouldn’t be in the league, but that’s irrelevant to our conversation here and I have no worries the Magic would bring either of those abusers onto our team. It’s comparing apples to oranges. -
2025 Play-In Tournament: Magic Vs Hawks 04/15/25 7.30PM

Right, because the only options at point guard in the entire league are Trae Young and Cory Joseph…. Look, it’s obvious we need a better distributor that can grow with our core and bring out the best in them, I’ve been banging that drum for as long as anyone else on this board, but I’d rather it not be Trae. The foul-baiting stuff is horrible basketball and I’d rather not be in a position where I have to cheer it on. -

Disagree. I saw a high usage player get hounded by Franz and AB and revert to all the foul-baiting tactics he had in his arsenal because he couldn’t score a legitimate basket. Then he threw a fit and complained we were too physical and doubled down in his interview after the game that we are dirty. Trae’s a ***** and I don’t want him on my team. -

Trae Young was all the way in his bag of bull**** tonight. Perfect example game of why I don’t want him on my team. I’d have such a hard time rooting for him. Shoutout to Dell, Cole and AB tonight. We wouldn’t have won it without them. Also a great showing of why home court is so important in a play-in game and series. -

11-5 when CoJo starts this year, including 9-2 in the last 11. He truly turned around our season and it makes me even more upset with Weltman and his lack of initiative at the deadline. Huge game tonight! Hopefully we treat it like a game 7 and can shift our focus to Boston. Also, hope to see Niang get busted in his chops like he deserves. Go Magic! -
Nuggets pick is owned by the Magic this year, if they make the play-in and lose, we get a lottery pick.
-
Jaylen Brown sounds like he’s really struggling with his knee. We need to lock up the Boston matchup on Tuesday. At the very least, a series of experience against the defending champs and playing some meaningful games in the Garden would be huge… and maybe we can steal a few games
-
That 1-6 home stretch with 4 one possession losses including bad losses to the Raptors and Bulls really is what kept us in the play-in. Impressive bounce back because that home stretch could’ve killed our season. Play-in is good experience for the young fellas. It’s pretty much a game 7, which we’ve already done once before.
-
Hawks clinch the 8 seed, so expect everybody on both teams to sit on Sunday, and we’ll play them again in the play-in Tuesday in Orlando
-
I was a T Queen fan when he was getting minutes earlier this season, and happy to still drive that bandwagon. That boy good!
-
At least all our home games are done until the play-in, so it’s not like we’re screwing over the home crowd by sitting people
-
Pacers sitting Haliburton, Siakam, Nemhardt, Nesmith and Turner. Meaning the .500 season hopes are still alive! Could be a fun, ugly one to watch tonight
-
Paolo, Franz, KCP and WCJ all out tonight
-
Entire starting 5 listed as questionable for tomorrow night lol
-
I’d also be worried about playing the Bulls, but we’re in a unique position here. The Bulls play the Wizards and the Sixers to end the season, they should win both and finish 39-43. Hawks play the Nets and the Sixers which they should win both to get to 39-42, and then they finish the season against us. We could be in a position where we decide if we want to tank and force a play-in matchup vs Atlanta in the last game of the season.
-
Hey, all you can do is beat the guys the other team rolls out there. Whole lot better than the alternative of losing to the Celtics G Leaguers
-
Ugly first half, but Paolo picked a good game to have his first stinker in awhile. Let’s finish strong
-
It’s not even basically, the 7 seed is clinched with a win tonight.

I watched last night and it seems like we’re settling in to our playoff rotation. To answer your questions, the heavy starter minutes are pretty typical for a tight playoff rotation. 6th man was Caleb Houstan which has been pretty consistent for the past couple weeks, and Isaac played backup Center. I think barring injury, the rotation last night is going to be what we see in the playoffs with Goga and Da Silva only playing if there’s foul trouble.
