Right, so our window of cap flexibility is going to close quickly pretty soon. It’s getting close to the time to make that Rashard Lewis signing before you have to pay Dwight the bag

Pretty sure I said “trading one of our picks and getting back some sort of proven scorer”. I’m thinking guys that would provide spacing and prevent double teaming to help Paolo and Franz develop into their full potential.

Yeah, I understand the frustration here. It’s getting close to being a conversation of if we’re really that smart with money, or if ownership has just decided they want to be cheap over trying to compete. I had silly hopes for an exciting off-season that included trading one of our picks and getting back some sort of proven scorer, but it looks like we’re content on running it back with 2 more rookies and some uneventful FAs. Even the Ingles move, while it’s something to like on paper, he’ll be 36 by the time the season starts and coming off a recently torn ACL. I honestly am not sure if I expect him to be an on court contributor at all.

It’s obviously all about what we’d get back, but I’d be sad to be the 3rd team that helped Miami land Lillard

Wow.. how bad is Portland management?! You have to assume the Grant contract was for Dame. How do you mess that up?! Dame will be in Miami by Independence Day I bet. They’ve let Strus and Vincent walk, just gave away Oladipo. The writing is on the wall. It’s a shame I’m gonna have to hate Lillard now lol

Yeah, his contract doesn’t become fully guaranteed until 1/10/24, so if we haven’t waived him by now to make cap room for an FA, it’s not happening in the off-season. A few interesting 4s still out there, that could maybe play fringe 4/5. PJ Washington, Grant Williams, Dario Saric. Also fringe 3/4 guys like Justise Winslow and Derrick Jones Jr.

Yeah, I guess so. And I’m sure we’re planning for Isaac to fill a role, but when he inevitably gets hurt again, we need a better option than Chuma. 10 man healthy rotation is probably Fultz/Cole Suggs/GH Franz/Ingles Paolo/Isaac Wendell/Goga With Black eventually taking Gary’s role and Jett, Caleb, Kevon, Chuma, Moe (if re-signed), Bol (if re-signed) riding the pine. I just feel like we have so many pieces that a 2 or 3 for 1 trade makes a ton of sense.

That FVV contract is wild. This feels like the summer where awful contracts got dealt out that set teams back for years. Think it was the summer we signed Biyombo. I’m glad to only have a 1 year reasonable commitment to a solid vet so far. Keeping an eye on Brook Lopez now

I don’t get how paying freaking Jerami Grant 160 million does anything to help Dame stay

Ooof, I’m really out on Reaves. I get it, for sure, but I’ve seen too many linsanity playoff runs windup in horrible contracts because they’re not actually who that player is. Reaves without a Laker whistle scares the crap out of me

I dunno if Strus is as good of a shooter as people claim. He can get hot, sure, but he’s more likely to go 2-10 than 8-10. Id talk myself into it, but it’d be underwhelming
