Heat survive the Pistons with some boneheaded clock management by Cade to let them get a game winner
-
Also, Jett has been recalled back up to the big leagues. We’ll only see him if there’s garbage time, but he’ll be available.
-
No Isaac tonight for left knee injury maintenance. I don’t hate it, let’s make sure he’s ready to go when the West coast teams start coming to town after the Charlotte game.
-
Sounds delicious!
-
JI is playing with so much more aggression and confidence since that injury scare. It seems like he’s trusting his body again for the first time in years
-
I made a post a few days ago about Franz shooting slump, mainly in relation to free throws and 3s. My theory is he’s fatigued. It’s a long season and he plays all summer for Germany too, and the legs seem to be the first thing to show when players get tired
-
Feels like coach is the last one that hasn’t given up on Markelle yet. Hate to say it as a huge fan of his personally, but he’s done
-
No etiquette at all my friend, just say what you’re thinking about the game as you want and things unfold.
-
Yep, I’m here! Surprised to be losing after one but we always seem to struggle in Toronto. Raps playing hard. This would be a bad loss, but I’m optimistic we’ll be able to turn it around. Talent usually prevails in these matchups
-
Yeah, my issue with Klay is that this summer is the last time for a long time we’re gonna have cap space, with Franz and Suggs due for extensions and Paolo coming the year after that. I don’t want to waste the cap space on short term fill ins. Would rather sign a guy like Monk or trade for someone younger like Sexton, Dejounte or something like that.

Nah I’m with you. Let’s hope those 2 Heat/Sixers games are just a playin preview. I’d be shocked if the Sixers aren’t one of the play-in teams at this point. Just means we need to be better than one of Indiana, New York, Miami to avoid the play-in and we got the tiebreaker vs the Knicks and Pacers.

Good win! What an impressive game from Paolo.
-
It’s officially laughable. It’s the whole damn team at this point
-
Horrible end to the half. Should be up 20 but careless basketball for the last 4 minutes of the quarter and now we’ve let the Nets gain confidence and hang around. Gotta find that killer instinct
-
FREE throws yall… emphasis on FREE
-
It’s nice to be rested! Let’s keep it up!

Joe at home and off of a couple days rest, definitely. Hes shooting a scorching 46% from deep at Kia Center. Dips 10% when we go on the road, which is still respectable but not nearly as automatic
-
This is fair. Spacing and the perimeter guys being close enough to slap away at Paolo driving have definitely played a role in his turnovers. I think the lack of trust is why Franz and Paolo, especially Paolo go into takeover mode a lot. Hell, even Cole does it. I think we really only have 2 guys on the team that I’m confident when they shoot a 3 ball that it has a shot of going in, Jalen and Gary. I also know he had a nice run early when we were desparate, but Caleb is never gonna be more than an end of the bench guy at best in the NBA.

Big game tonight, feels like we haven’t played in forever. Really no excuse to not go win the next 4, especially with how the schedule ramps back up after the Hornets game.
-
Philly’s in huge trouble. Embiid apparently nowhere near returning and the Knicks just smashed them. Only 5 of their last 17 games against teams below .500. I bet they’re gonna be a play-in team.
-
Happy for Mose! Let’s keep climbing
-
Right now the biggest difference on drives between the greats like LeBron and Giannis vs Paolo is strength. Physical defenders are slapping at the ball when Paolo drives and are great at jarring it loose. Paolo is strong, don’t get me wrong, but he needs to get stronger in that area. His handle has been really really loose the past several games.
-
Yeah, I feel the same way about Franz. Not only his 3 ball, which is a measly 15.4% in our last 10, but he’s also only shooting 75% from the line in that same timespan. I think it’s fatigue. I’ve said it before, I know how important playing for his country is for him, but I’d love to see him take the summers off and commit fully to his real job, which includes taking the time off and taking care of his body in the off-season.

lol… stop it

Silver linings time. Despite a bad weekend and a 2 game losing streak where we didn't do ourselves any favors we’re: Still in 5th Only 1/2 game out of 4th Get a break in the schedule to practice, rest and get Suggs healthy Still own the tiebreakers with New York and Indiana We didn’t capitalize this weekend, but luckily it didn’t hurt us as bad as it could have
