Good game for Vucevic, some nice moments for Mo, Chuma and even some out of Randle. Ross, Fournier, MCW, Aminu, Bacon were all awful, especially Ross. The one man show bench is killing us, Ross just jacking up shot after shot, not even looking for open guys. Ross took half of the bench field goal attempts. Ross and Fournier shot 36 combined times and combined for 26 points on 30% shooting

Sexton or SGA over Bamba should’ve happened for sure.

True. All I know is the 3 things that haunt me from this most current “rebuild” are choosing to pay Evan instead of Victor, being one pick off of Porzingis and getting Hezonja instead and being one pick off of the Luka/Trae deal and getting Bamba instead.

We were 17-40 with Nik that year and 8-17 without. Pretty much a push, but no one can deny he’s a significantly better player now than he was then.

Just get a top 4 pick, assuming someone takes Mobley in the top 3 which I fully expect it’ll guarantee us one of Cade, Green, or Kuminga. Also all for getting back in to the late lotto with another pick, even if it costs us next years 1st. Gotta double down on a strong draft class

I agree that it points more to showcasing Mo than it does trading Khem. Clifford was interviewed about it after the game and I don’t remember the quote but he alluded to it being the norm going forward to “get Mo in shape.”

One of our biggest issues right now is that we don’t have a point guard or playmaker on the roster. Vucevic is our best playmaker, think about that. For Fournier, Bacon and Ross “playmaking” is chucking up terrible shots. MCW is great on defense, but one of the worst offensive players in the league and we’ve already determined he’s not a PG... and signing Randle was just dumb, he too isn’t a PG, is almost 30 taking up one of our two way spots that are reserved for youth and development, and brings absolutely nothing of value to the squad. AG had some rough games, but he’s by far our second best playmaker after Kelle... with both out we’re just a bunch of chuckers

At this point I’ll take a top 4 pick if I’m being realistic. Assuming somebody takes Evan Mobley, I’d be fine with any of Jalen Green, Jonathan Kuminga and of course Cade Cunningham

I don’t think Al-Farouq Aminu is the worst signing in Magic history, but Weltman definitely doesn’t get criticized enough for how bad of a signing he was, especially when you take the contract in to consideration

Is it bad that I’m watching this game and chanting to myself “only 11 more games with Evan, only 11 more games with Evan”

Nah, this ones done. I’ll watch anyway, but we’re more likely to lose by 30 than make it competitive. This is who Fournier has always been, a couple brilliant games when his shot is going in, but when his shot isn’t going in he forces bad shots, passes and drives and he becomes a turnover machine. If he’d ever get to be on a team that could use him as a 6th man or a 3rd or 4th scoring option/ball handler, he’d be great, but as your second best player he’s a mess.

Yeah, it’s quite the conundrum for us dealing with Boston, they probably want Vucevic more than any other team in the league, but they want him to pair with Brown and Tatum, and I don’t see any combination of players and picks that doesn’t include either Brown or Tatum that we should be interested in. I’m terrified we’re gonna make a move for Kemba even though he has no knees left

For real... we’ll be lucky to do better than 4-8. Hopefully at this point we’ve embraced the season as lost. We had our worst injury time at our easiest portion of the schedule and it killed us

Nets, Jazz, Mavs, Hawks last 4 before the break. Don’t see how we do better than 1-3, if not 0-4. Dropping all 4 would put us at 13-23 at the break which would put us somewhere between 3rd and 8th worst in the NBA

Man, when we’re bad, we’re really really bad. That game sucked to watch through and through. Evan Fournier, Dwayne Bacon and Terrence Ross all are so easy to defend because they only pass the ball when it’s super obvious they have to. Birch has been terrible for about 4 or 5 straight now and Mo is still riding the pine, even in a blowout. Aminu sucks. This is more who we are than the excitement of the last few, unfortunately. If Vucevic has a poor shooting night, we almost have zero chance of winning. Also another thing to ***** about management about, Dennis Smith Jr was just sitting on the Knicks bench available to pretty much any bidder, and we had a huge point guard slot to fill... and we opted for g leaguers to backup Cole

Maybe it’ll take us being competitive again to have some of those gents come back. Fultz4thewin is still active in the Magic Kingdom on Twitter, just doesn’t come here anymore. I remember our last competitive run a decade ago, this place was poppin

I think he needs to play more than like 10 games straight before I can entertain this thought. He has been excellent on that end though. People are gonna be upset, but I think he stays starting when Cole gets back, assuming he’s healthy. His D is desperately needed with the starts and Cole’s O is desperately needed to help the bench
