  1. Years of Tragic and Magic

He was projected by some as a late first or second rounder. Him going undrafted was a surprise. No one would've batted an eye if we took him with our second. I'm Happy we were able to snag him in UDFA, however selling our picks every year looks so small market. ?4thewin did correct me though. I guess we acquired a future second along with cash considerations.

Money shouldn't even factor in to the equation. Selling a Draft pick for cash considerations does nothing to contributing to the product on the court. Yes however 1 year removed from "The Draft Flattening out" It isn't a good look for an organization to be selling draft picks. If he's there and you feel he can make the roster you draft him period. If they sign Jefferies I feel it shows that management is willing to sacrifice their product for short term financial gain.

If Jefferies is signed to the roster why do we continually sell 2nd rounders instead of flat out drafting guys? If you like the player and he fits what you're building don't take a chance he'll get drafted. There's a lot of competition signing someone as an UDFA. https://www.google.com/amp/s/orlandomagicdaily.com/2019/07/19/orlando-magic-rest-chuma-okeke-year-sign-daquan-jeffries/amp/

Thanks! Listening to how Amile doesn't fit what we are trying to do, I was hoping we could use that spot to develop someone who might. Does this mean we currently only have 14 under contract? Hypothetically speaking we could sign Jefferies to the Roster?

I can see Clifford using MCW and Iwundu if he needs a defensive spark.

He could probably play both PF/SF. I was merely listing players we currently have signed + Okeke. I was just saying maybe Amile was signed to our Roster putting us at 15. I haven't seen the two way contract mentioned in any of the articles announcing the signing. We would then still have a two way contract we could use. Is that correct?

Perhaps Amile Jefferson was signed to our roster and not a 2-way contract. Is it possible we still have the other 2-way contract available for Jefferies? Where does or roster stand now? C: Vuch, Bamba, Birch PF: Gordon, Aminu, Jefferson, Okeke (signing soon hopefully) SF: Isaac, Iwundu SG: Fournier, Ross, Frazier PG: Augustin, Fultz, MCW 2 way: OLD WHITE DUDE and ????(Jefferies)

With Jeffersons 2 way contract being rescinded, have we signed anyone else? I know the census is we offer Jefferies a contract. Maybe Jefferies gets a Roster spot. Who's our other 2 way contract?

We sell them every year anyway...Does it really matter?

Actually the number would be 33.72 million and If a Team trading away a 10 - 15 million stop Gap Center has room under the Salary Cap this is a non issue...I'm not saying I'd do it. It was just a response to the original poster offering up 6 and Fournier for a late 1st. I was implying you could get more in return.

You do realize that after the Durant and Thompson injuries and Davis trade it doesn't leave many Top Tier Free Agents to go around. Plenty of Teams with Cap space. Giving up 2 Years of Cap space for a decent Fournier and #6 isn't so bad. Why are you trying to be an Jerk?

True. I was just responding to the initial poster. We should get more than getting out of 2 years of Fournier for moving from 6 to a late 1st. The cost of moving up to 6 was never discussed.

Maybe 6th, Mozgov, and Fournier for a late first and a stop gap Center that can start until Bamba is ready.
