    The Dwight Howard Drama Unfolds

Would this be legal? by Diligent on Fri Jul 20, 2012 9:07 am Given the recent comments by Dan HWNSNBU (Apparently Dwights position has always been he wants to explore his options as a free agent and won't resign with anyone, including Brooklyn. Couldn't all of this drama have been avoided had he stated that publicly like Lebron and Deron did? But I digress.) I have been thinking about a scenario that might be a pipe dream for a Magic fan. But I was just wondering if it is legal. Is it possible if the Magic trade Dwight -- to anyone, be it Houston, Atlanta, LA, etc and he doesn't sign the extension. And in said trade, the Magic free up cap space by unloading other contracts ... And then sign Dwight back to Orlando in the off season when he becomes a free agent? I'm not saying this is highly probable. But would it even be possible?

  3. NBA 2K12 'The Association' Best Magic team you can make by applash on Thu May 31, 2012 10:18 am Hey guys, While tinkering with the current Magic roster in NBA 2K12's 'The Association' I was able to assemble what i considered a pretty good team. This is when I came up with the idea of hosting a contest of sorts to see who can assemble the best team possible using the pieces on the 2011-2012 Orlando Magic roster. While the Trade CPU on 2K12 is laughable on what it will see as an acceptable trade, you still have to line up salaries. We will have the contest last throughout the entire month of June. I Will make some captions and list them below. At the end of the month We will hold a poll and see whose team is the champ in each Caption. The winners will receive custom sigs donning their caption won. Here are the rules to play. Rules 1. All trades must be done through NBA 2k12's 'The Association' Game mode with the Trade Override turned off.(I have no way of checking this but if a Trade of Hedo For Lebron Happens obviously something is wrong.) 2. Only the 2011-2012 Magic team roster as is *(Including Wafer) is fair game. Do not use already modified rosters or other teams. 3.When you are ready to post, here is what you will need. (1.)State what caption you are entering your team in. (2.)Write a full list of your team's entire roster. (3.) Show each transaction made. Label each individual trade by a number. You do not have to include draft picks. Below I have made an example of what a Post should look like.(This is the team i created) Example Caption: Title Contender Roster: Carmelo Anthony Monta Ellis Devin Harris Chris Duhon Ish Smith J.J Redick Delonte West Earl Clark Josh Howard Drew Gooden Jon Brockman Greg Oden(Don't Laugh) Transactions: 1.ORL Out Dwight Howard, Hedo Turkoglu, Glen Davis, Jason Richardson 2 First Round picks NY Out Tyson Chandler, Carmelo Anthony MIL Out Monta Ellis, Drew Gooden, Jon Brockman ORL in Carmelo Anthony, Monta Ellis, Drew Gooden, Jon Brockman NY in Dwight Howard, Hedo Turkoglu, Jason Richardson MIL in Tyson Chandler, Glen Davis, 2 First Rounders 2.ORL out Daniel Orton, Justin Haper, DeAndre Liggins DAL out Delonte West, Dominique Jones CHA out 2nd round pick ORL in Delonte West DAL in Daniel Orton, Justin Haper, DeAndre Liggins CHA in Dominique Jones 3. ORL out Jameer Nelson, Ryan Anderson, 1st round pick, Quentin Richardson UTA out Devin Harris,Josh Howard,1st round pick ORL in Devin Harris, Josh Howard, 1st round pick UTA in Jameer Nelson, Ryan Anderson, 1st round pick, Quentin Richardson 4. ORL waive Von Wafer and sign Greg Oden *Making your post look like this will ensure that you have done everything correct. Captions Here are the captions I have come up with. If any of you guys have any ideas on additional captions you would like me to add write them below. Title Contender: You've put together an incredible squad that has a real shot of winning it all! Cost Efficient: You're probably not gonna win a title with this team but you do make the playoffs, and you do so without breaking the bank. Tank City: With Dwight leaving it's time to jump ship and get a good draft pick for the future. Create a broom closet team that costs next to nothing and wins few games. Otis' Dream Team Assemble a team of washed up and/or overpaid players that put you way over the luxury tax but don't really improve your team. Did i miss anything? Let me know
