I'm my own man, pumpkin. Except when I'm your man. ;-)

Since the double entendre of my user name and how it relates to basketball seems to be lost on some of the children, and since I'm no longer as amused by it, I'll be looking to change my handle in the near future. There, maybe TruFan and nCoolness will have nothing to talk about for a while.

You'll survive. Luckily it was Equate. Don't even get me started on Listerine.

How much, exactly, did you swallow? Half a mouthful?

Check the ingredients. If it has Cetylpyridinium Chloride in it you might.

Jareth, please stop reading RealGM. More importantly, stop posting it here. This place has enough insanity as it is.

Great, great article, until I read the one and only comment under it which made me gouge my eyes out with red-hot steak knives.

Pretty sure Harkless said he'd be wearing #21.

Same here. I'm stoked to start the rebuild.

I don't understand the skepticism about the rebuilding process that some are expressing on this board. We weren't even contenders WITH Dwight the last two seasons, so we certainly won't be contenders without him, regardless of trade partner. If we're not going to contend, we don't want to be a 7 seed. That's not arguable. Don't tell me the goal is to win every game. OBVIOUSLY THAT IS THE GOAL, BUT UNFORTUNATELY ****TY PLAYERS DON'T WIN LOTS OF GAMES, REGARDLESS OF HOW HARD THEY TRY. I'm fully expecting a 'Heart & Hustle 2' type team, but that doesn't mean we're going to win more than 23 games. Sorry. If we're not improving (teams trading a superstar aren't), and we're not aiming to be a middling playoff team (which we're not), then we HAVE to bottom out. That involves taking our chances with the ping pong balls. Maybe it'll go as planned, maybe it won't. But you can't argue with the theory of rebuilding... this is the only way folks.

And it's not close. Jimmer is atrocious, JJ is a starting caliber NBA SG.

How many years until the Magic have another "superstar"?
ML6 replied to Penny Hardaway's Ghost's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
I'm gonna go out on an optimistic limb here and say we're bad/lucky enough to get a top 2 pick in 2014 which lands us Wiggins/Parker. So 2 years. -
The official 2013 draft...who do you like?
ML6 replied to the notorious S.A.C.'s topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Basically, although I am so unimpressed with the upcoming draft that I would argue that a top pick would have little impact on the next year's draft position. In other words, top picks in both drafts is extremely unlikely (based on chance) but not mutually exclusive. Kinda like a '92 & '93 deal. But seriously, Kasey Hill is regarded as maybe the 7th best prospect in the class of 2014. The following highlight video is composed of footage from BEFORE his junior year of high school. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KYFLA0wlXM I'd argue that he would be a more impactful player that Shabazz or Noel will be. -
The official 2013 draft...who do you like?

This is misguided. I really couldn't be less interested in the 2013 draft. Getting a top pick in the 2014 draft is what will make or break this rebuild, IMO. If we end up with Wiggins we've absolutely won the trade. He's the future of the league, and no, I'm not overreacting. Read about him and watch his highlights. He does it all. If we miss on Wiggins, Jabari Parker is still an unbelievable prospect and would also fasttrack a rebuild. Kasey Hill is an elite athlete at the PG position and reminds me of CP3 with his ballhandling/passing ability, but still needs to work on his shot. The Harrison twins are big, high bball IQ guards. Chris Walker is a nice prospect. Julius Randle is a big, burly PF with ballhandling skill. 2014 is what we need to worry about, and if we somehow wind up with a top 2 pick or multiple lottery picks we are going to be just fine. -
You may have been terrible, but you captivated us with your media savvy and that one time you almost got into a fight with 3 Celtics. We'll miss you, for some reason. Alright, thanks man.
-
yeah but bro it's so horrible because we didn't get durant or lebron or keep dwight and get anthony morrow or get prime shaq and kobe or get the badboy pistons or get or get the '92 bulls or get fran vazquez or get /BASHES HEAD INTO GRANITE COUNTERTOP RELENTLESSLY

I would like to suggest the installment of a "TBN Basketball IQ Quiz" that would be administered prior to joining this forum. That way, those people that think a maxed out Lopez, Kris Humphries, the underwhelming Mar'Shon Brooks, and 3 picks that our worse than the ones we just got as a whole, would hit the proverbial electric fence. Until then I guess I'll just keep murdering my neurons by reading this drivel.

Not sure people quite understand what the word "mediocrity" means.

So we dump J-Rich/Duhon, can buy out or trade Turk/Harrington after this season, get potential in Vucevic/Harkless, get Afflalo as a nice veteran piece. We get our own draft picks in the top of the lotto from being terrible for a couple years, get complimentary picks from the other teams in the trade, AND we set ourselves up as players in free agency in the coming years with lots of cap space. Oh yeah, and this was accomplished after Dwight and HWNSNBU completely destroyed our leverage. AND THIS TRADE IS GETTING BLASTED FOR SHORTSIGHTEDNESS AND STUPIDITY. WHAT WORLD IS THIS? SOMEONE HONESTLY EXPLAIN TO ME HOW THIS IS "THE WORST TRADE IN NBA HISTORY". DO IT. I DARE YOU. I'LL BE WAITING. I'm reposting what I wrote because I wrote it and it's smart. Conversely, what you've posted is dumb because Simmons said it, therefore I hate it and you should probably hate it too.

THE MAGIC SHOULD'VE TRADED FOR PRIME DETLEF SCHREMPF/SCOTTIE PIPPEN AND EVERY #1 LOTTO PICK FOR THE NEXT 48 YEARS AND OMG I JUST HAD AN ANEURYSM

Some of you are so out of touch with reality it's dumbfounding, and you really have no business posting on basketball message board. The amount of ignorance on here has ballooned to absurd levels.

I'm VERY intrigued. Lots of possibilites here.

I just read through the Jacque Vaughn Nickname Thread and promptly lost control of my bowels. Now going back to bed for the week.

Vaughn is perfect for our situation. He will motivate players and guys will want to play for him. Great hire.
