    Steve Kyler (hoopsworld) Trading Bogans?

Kyler can say what he wants about fans being transaction fiend's, I can make the arguement that he is a little too relaxed in his opinion. We don't need to move Keith but he is an expiring contract and that is a trade chip. If they have no plans to resign him this offseason it would be smart to use the trade chip rather than watching yet another expiring deal walk away. You have a point, but Keith still is a solid role player in Stan system, and if somebody was to go down with an injury Stan will have Keith to fill in. The point you made about his expiring contract is valid, but teams don't really look for expiring contract until it get close to the trade deadline. I don't expect anything to be done till the deadline but we can worry about injuries to anyone. If Tony gets hurt we are relying on Cook to back up the 4. If AJ gets hurt we are relying on Mike Wilks. The positions where we don't have to worry unless we get muliple injures are 2 and 3, I'm all for depth but how much do we need at 1 position? Wilks contract isn't guranteed. I think Otis will play close attention to the waiver wire in the next couple of weeks. There are a couple of guys who might not make other teams rosters that will fit in nice with the Magic. Guys like D.J. Strawberry and Sean Singletary will both have a hard time making their team roster, and I will gladly accept either one of them over Wilks. Anyway I think if Otis trade for anyone it will be a PF, because Stan plans on using CLEE in a SG/PG role a la Dooling.

    Steve Kyler (hoopsworld) Trading Bogans?

OK friends, it's gotten silly. Last year the Orlando Magic carried six guards: Jameer Nelson, Carlos Arroyo, Keyon Dooling, Maurice Evans, JJ Redick, and Keith Bogans. This year the Magic have six guards: Jameer Nelson, Anthony Johnson, Courtney Lee, Mickael Pietrus, Keith Bogans, and JJ Redick. Why there is this belief that the Magic have to be trading Keith Bogans or JJ Redick is amazing. Yes, the Magic have a glut of guards. They had a glut of guards last year. Think for a second about Stan Van Gundy's run and shoot system. He cycles in guys based on matchup. Jameer is the starter

Yet, we are still allowed to make observations based on the teams play so far. Since I get DirecTV I got to see last night's game with my own eyes. Shooting gaurd thread... Mickael Pietrus was impressive! Dude can shoot the three ball and his post-up game was quite impressive. Not only did he have moves on the block but he was shooting fadeaways that were falling. The most impressive thing was the way he kept Jason Richardson at bay. Even when J. Rich tried to take him off the dribble he recovered and forced him into either a bad shot or pass. I did not see him try to take people off the dribble last night...something that is supposedly his weakness. Lee is gonna be a BALLER!!! I saw him in the 4th quarter last night take the ball to the hole in transition and finish with bodies and contact all around him...you can see his explosiveness and athleticism, something J.J. Redick will never, ever be able to do. As soon as they start showing the games on TV you guys are gonna see exactly what I'm talking about for yourselves. They need to quit jerking that boy around with the point guard stuff...and last night they put him at the "2" where he should be. There is no way they can keep that boy on the bench...when Lee had the ball on the wing isolated with a defender I found myself saying...take the ball to the hole Man...you can beat thay guy off the dribble easily. Something that as we all know J.J. is not very adept at. Lastly, they didn't experiment with Lee at the point even after Jameer hurt his ankle. I'll give J.J. credit, at least he is knocking down shots right now. He still can't play defense. You talk about a BLOWBY!!! When J.J. checked into the game his 1st assignment was gaurding J. Rich, enough said. Larry Brown then inserted Matt Carroll into the game, the one white guy in the league that is slower than Redick. Didn't matter, the first time Matt had J.J. isolated on the wing he got around J.J. to the basket. Thankfully, Dwight was there to clean up the mess. And yes, Redick did shoot the ball well but he had frikin Matt Carroll on him. Okay...Keith Bogans looks to be the odd man out. Alright, GIVE UP THE 1ST ROUNDER OTIS AND TRADE THIS GUY FOR SOMETHING!! Preferably another point guard. Jameer started crying about his ankle last night in the 3rd quarter and didn't return. Thank God for Anthony Johnson! Dude knows what he is doing...when Jameer gets hurt(notice I didn't say if) I am seriously worried about the point. Looks like we might be keeping Mike Wilks afterall. Here are some quotes on Jammer and Turk from everyone's favorite coach, Stan Van Gundy: quote: Van Gundy reacted to that performance(against the Hawks on Monday) by putting the Magic through a marathon film session on Tuesday followed by a practice loaded with defensive drills. In particular, Van Gundy called out point guard Jameer Nelson and forward Hedo Turkoglu for their poor effort. ``We watched every defensive possession of the second half,

  5. I say we keep him the whole season, then when the free agent period open do a sign and trade with another team. Turk is going after the big bucks, and we can offer him the most money more then any other team and the league. So with that all say and done we just have to wait and see next summer.
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqlBUj9bFC4 Jordan said he likes to watch Dwight Howard play, however he said that Howard isn't the best Center of the league and that he needs to develop more offensive moves than just dunking. Look over to the right and click on more info in that box to the right. He talk about who he likes in todays game.

Since Dwight Howard isn't mentioned in the clip at all, peeps shouldn't click your bull**** link, if they do not want to waste their time watching MJ demo some b-ball with some kids. Only an idiot would want to waste peeps time with bull**** links and MJ quotes with no sources. Look over to the right and click where it say more info. He say it, and he say that he love CP3 game, and that K24 is the best player in today game. And as far as calling people idiot that's uncall for. Grow up youngin.

  9. I doubt if we trade Fran rights. Otis thinks very highly of him, that why we didn't go after no bigs. Otis believe he's coming over next year to be pair next to D12. If it was up to me his rights will be fax up to Memphis ASAP.

He was born and raised here, and plus playing next to Howard could give us a shot. It really depend on how are roster looks. Otis is really trying to build through the draft a la Pistons. hence the rashard signing last season... im jk, i see where your coming from. although if i had to pick a team we are emulating, it would be SA. Yeah I feel you a little on the Spurs, but the thing about that they send there draft picks oversea for a couple years. We can't afford to do that. That why I'm hoping Otis take a couple pages from Joe Dumars book. Dumars has been the most consistent GM when it come to drafting. Take a look at his track record Prince, Maxiell,Stuckey, Johnson, and Affalo. The Pistons has a strong young cord for the future. Dumars snatch all of them through the draft too. That why he one of the top GM in the league today.

  12. I believe this trade will go down in the next 2 weeks. Mark my word, but I think we will end up trading Bogan and a pick. Also I believe Turk might be traded at the deadline. The owner is trying to stay under the cap, so it either Turk or Nelson depending on how Critt play.
  13. The reason why JJ couldn't see the floor last year, because in practice Bogans was looking like Kobe while JJ was guarding him. As for the trade I say go for it. JJ and a 1st for Critt work for me. JJ will never be put in Stan rotation.

    Insider Info

I will love to trade for Marcus Williams and Sean Banks. These two will add great depth to our bench. Marcus is a pass first point guard we need, plus he can score too.
