Magic Berto is always writing the same that I think. That's why I really like your Stocks Up and Down, you have your preferences like everyone, but you can see it straight too. BTW quote: Not to mention... would a lineup of Dwight-Battie-Lewis-[insert SG here]-Jameer really be that horrific to at least try? One time?? Particularly if Turk isn't playing, I mean c'mon. I'm rooting for that since the start of the season, but if we don't play them against Yao-Scola (and no-Turk), I doubt that we'll ever do. SVG surely knows better than us why we're always playing small.

Bad news, but at least it's an injury in the most covered position. More minutes to develop JJ and CLee, and learning time for MP. I think that SVG was giving him time to learn before using him in the last minutes, sometimes he still forget his man on defense, but now... he'll learn on the field. quote: Originally posted by Jareth Cutestory:Anybody think besides JJ and Lee getting time, that Jeremy Richardson will be activated on some nights as well? Or Foyle, depending on the matchuos like we've seen on saturday. -
McDyess is espected back with the Pistons. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3722067 This rule has to change soon in my opinion. Yesterday, awful loss in Detroit. Against Boston you can accept it, but Minny... is this real???

No hate for Cookie too. -
Great job as always Sky. Cook also get 2 rebounds, so this is defenitely a stock up!!! One question: why so few "Stock in the Middle" in those 4 weeks?

Can't say too much of this game, the streaming yesterday night was terrible, the only one barely working was in chinese and they were always going nuts for Yao... Anyway, the bench was finally up, beating the Houston subs, but the starters were off (except Meer); one day we will fire in all cylinders (hopefully). Two interesting things in Denton article: quote: Three of the Magic's losses -- to Atlanta, Portland and Houston -- have come against winning teams and they have yet to defeat a team with a better-than-.500 record. Disturbing stat, I'm very happy that we're taking care of business against sub-500 teams, something that we don't do last year, but we need to step up against better teams. Next stop: 1st devember at Boston, and after that we have a tough trip to the west. quote: Howard played just seven minutes in the first half and Magic coach Stan Van Gundy was critical of Howard -

Tengo una pregunta! Como es que cuando Jameer juega bien (y lleva dos semanas haciendolo) todo el mundo desaparece y se olvida de el? Bueno, mas que una pregunta era una peque -

We're seeing a team this year that is capable to stay in the game even when is playing awful. Is this a good sign? Hopefully defense will be stronger on the second half. -

And Fran is a waste of a (high) pick until now... at least Brian is showing up everyday in Orlando!!! But anyway, they're different players, and Cook would not be so bad if only he would have a little passion for the game and the will of put his body into defense and rebounding. I would love to make an experiment mixing the hustle and the character of Bo Outlaw with the skills of Cook. We would eventually create the perfect PF for our team. LOL, If I have the ability to combine talents to create super players I'm not going to waste my time with Cook and Outlaw! I need JJ and Pietrus to step into my office please....this will only take a second. You win!!!! But if we create JJ Pietrus our bench will be shorter, my propositon was for having another player in the rotation without giving up nothing.... :=) EDIT: OMG, they've made the experiment, Bo Cook has just checked into the game...

Off Topic Question: 2010 Free Agent Class

This Knicks trade had 2010 written all over... They're giving up their best scorer and a player that could play well under D'Antoni system for another PF. Like a guy said in the comments od the ESPN article: quote: Makes sense. Warriors are loaded with guards to get another. Knicks are loaded with forwards, so get another. Seems like NY isn't interested in having a good season (unless there're other trades coming up, see Randolph or Curry) and GS.... well, Nelson love to play exagerate small-ball, but they're really a mess right now!! -

I mean, could he be any worse than Battie or Cook? how dare you... you owe an apology to Cookie for comparing him to Fran. Corrected :=)

three reasons why Pietrus is the most pleasant surprise.

quote: Originally posted by Ryan-Aussie Magic:Can I remind you all Marc Gasol had similar #'s as Fran and now you're all creaming dacks over him saying why didn't we draft him Sorry Ryan, but no way. Marc Gasol was the MVP of the league last year, something that Fran had never accomplished and never will. The first stat in this link is something similar to Hollinger PER http://www.acb.com/stsindiv.php?cod_competicion=LACB&co...icion=52&cod_fase=LR If you look at all the stats, there's absolutely no way to compare Fran with Marc (the only one in which Fran win is actually dunks) And Marc is two years younger, BTW.

quote: Originally posted by Kberto:I'm curious to see how the Boston/Detroit turns out tonight. I'm still not sold on Iverson making them a better team, so I want to know how good the Pistons really are. I think they have made a step backward right now, but they need more time to adjust, and having McDyess back too. We'll see how it works coming playoff time. Against the Celtics, they seem to have a difficult matchup everytime, like the Magic with them in the last few years. BTW, I'm not sold on Stuckey too.

First of all, I've to underline those words.... Magic Berto says it perfectly. quote: Originally posted by magic berto:Lots of props. I enjoy reading what you write because I feel that you don't have any bias with your analysis of each player and/or other factors. Your game thread and weekly stocks will not ever had the tons of reply that a JJ discussion could produce, but that's a lot more interesting for sure!! Keep it up!!! Very good point by KITNO, an interesting stat that confirm the fact that we're able to win even without Dwight. I don't know if we'll label the bench as a strenght in the future, a lot of those minutes with D12 in foul troubles were played by the starters plus Battie, but it's a very good trend to not waste the lead when our star is out. Props to SVG for having a better team plan on those situations.

Pretty much agree on everything. Great job as always Sky.

It's only me, or all this "waiting game" for summer 2010 has really put down the average level of the competition? I mean, there're great teams right now, but also a bunch of awful ones, more than in past years from my point of view.
