Gordon is the gem of that draft class now.
Not quite, but he's holding down his draft position for sure, which is a win for our drafting tbh.

That's a different brand of insanity.

Agreed. The season is a marathon. It's not smart to put Bamba in a starters role so early, he will hit a wall come January. Take it slow. Nik isn't a bad player and will carry the tide until Bamba can handle an NBA season.

I have lowered my expectations for the season since draft time, but I am just excited that Magic basketball is back.

Brazilian basketball is not good.

It's probably been said 100 times already, the key to this season not being a disaster is whether Mo can adjust to the NBA marathon this year (or will it take 2?) and whether Isaac can stay healthy and contribute. If either/both of those things don't happen then we are going to be the same team we've been the past few years, except with worse passing and hopefully less bad defense.

- Making Gordon the #1 option on offense. You can't expect him to become great if he doesn't get the reps. He needs to be unleashed like Oladipo was in Indiana.
- Seeing Isaac, Gordon & Bamba on the court at the same time.
--
I'm not optimistic about either of those. Coach Clifford hasn't inspired any confidence
I agree with the B-I-G comment like everyone else. Gordon was 5-17, he's getting the reps, he just can't convert the attempts. He's not nearly efficient enough to be a top offensive option. Yet.
It's the same ole same ole. Without Nik putting up solid numbers this is another blowout for the other guys. It's preseason, sure, but we've read this chapter already.
-
We appear to still have the same issues we've had for the past few years. As much as we look forward to a lineup without Nik we need someone capable of replacing his point production. Until we get more frontcourt offense we will be fed a steady diet of Nik-whiches. We keep hoping Gordon is the answer, just like we keep hearing about he's due for a breakout. It is what it is.

Nice to see some '06ers still around! Lots of history here.

Apples to oranges; a better comparison would be between Middleton and AG.

Ayton is going to be ROY. He's going to beast in Phoenix. Bagley will get good stats too. Doncic will have big games. There is significant competition for Mo.

It isn't linear though. He matured early, he could top out early. He has an injury history. He's inconsistent. I'm not saying he won't keep improving until then, it's just not likely that you can project anyone accurately 6 years out. It would obviously be great if it worked out.

Just now, Magicfan1987 said:Guess we'll have to worry for the next 10-12 years until we find out lol
He's incredibly athletic, it would be nice if we didn't have to worry about it for 6 years. I'm not sure how realistic that is, but am hopeful.

That's what you get for listening to the know it all's here!

Do you put a stone on the grate or do you have a dedicated stone in your grill?

Gas or charcoal?

Pretty cool that they can churn out a custom pizza for you very quickly though.
Maybe I am just easy to please, I like getting things made to order on the quick. I don't need the best ever X each time I eat out.

The biggest thing I’ve taken away from this thread is that not nearly enough people know about Blaze and it’s awesomeness.

While she can come across extra at times I stand by her principle to not be pressured into a collective thought that goes against her beliefs. I wish there was less expectation of people to change what they say or believe based on popular/loud thought, ie social media etc.
It would be more meaningful if she didn’t resort to the victim card though. That’s lame.

Payton looks pretty good so far, it all came down to consistency for him. For us he didn't have it, with his youth and talent for his position he'll get plenty of chances to find it. He's in a perfect place.
