I agree with you, chosen12. I do not feel that the announcer was rubbing it in the Celtics' faces. I could not watch the game, but I was disturbed when I read that Grant Hill was extremely upset. I know that the Magic has struggled to get to the playoffs, but I am extremely happy that we made it even though we blew a 19 or 20 point lead. Now, here is my problem with Grant Hill (and I'm not going to "sugarcoat it"), but how dare he get upset since he has played very little since joining the Magic (what?) seven years ago? I feel that this is a great accomplishment for our younger fellas. Most of these guys have only been on the team for about 2 years!
I'm sorry, but I am really upset with Grant right now for spoiling "the moment" for our team.

If you factor in a win over Toronto tonight, then hopefully, JD is correct.
I pretty much guarantee a win tonight. However, it will be close.

Let's hope that they (the Heat) wore down T.J. Ford, Bosh, and their teammates. Let's hope that the Magic takes advantange of this.

The Glass is still Half Full. As mention in this space a few weeks ago, the playoffs have started for your Orlando Magic. Every remaining game has postseason implications. The key battle is for the seventh and eighth spots. Below is a look at the remaining schedules for the teams in question. As GHF does virtually every morning, go ahead a mark W

I remember your posts, barnettej. And there were a "few" others who did. But I just became upset because I felt that JD was right, and this one poster criticized JD for making the comment. I like JD and I have never met him. How can you not respect this man who provides all the pregame information (along with WPMagic, I think). By the way, I am female.

After the Magic's win over Miami Sunday night, JD made the observation that the board was QUIET. He wanted to know where were all the people who came on the board after we lose, making observations about the play of the Magic (good or bad). His point was: Why did hundreds of people not come to the board after the win over Miami to make comments (again, GOOD OR BAD)about the way the team played. Another poster criticized JD for being upset and gave a lousy excuse saying, 'It was too late at night', and 'people were too tired and sleepy to be banging on computer keyboards' (YOU KNOW WHO I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!). Well, my friend, guess what? Looks like JD was right after all! People... look at the board tonight--after a loss. I suppose these people are posting in their sleep.

JJZ,
Read JD's post again!
quote:But when we win it's like QUIET...I don't want to put words in JD's mouth (writing); however, what he said was, "but when we win it's QUITE...). I had to read it again, and what I now understand that he is saying is that people weren't posting after a win...POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE. He is not saying that you had to be all giggly...but some of the regulars and non-regualars on this board had nothing to say (good or bad). In much the same way you responded to JD's post. See your response below:

quote:Agree with Jack or not here's the facts. When we lose after each game there's threads popping up all over like firecrackers. Mostly negative.
When we win it's the opposite. Last night was almost eerily quiet on the boards after a resounding win against a top notch opponent.
Well said... JD and Ball Junkie! I don't understand these so called fans. I don't do much posting, however, I do follow the comments on this board before, during, and after each game. If you are a "True" magic fan (and you are posting comments), you should light up this board as much when we win as you do when lose.
I am a retiree (female), and I have been a magic fan since its inception. I get just as excited if the Magic win one out of 20 games. And for gosh sake, don't complain about the Turk anymore...I am a fan of Turk. I never gave up on him. Did you notice that he was a key piece of the puzzle last night. Remember, he left the game early Saturday night.
Shame on you! I call it hypocritical!

Ha,ha,ha!!! JD, that was funny!
I don't have to watch a game. Just reading you guy's--and girl's--comments is like comedy hour.
(Don't get me wrong - It's a good thing). Laughter is good for the soul.

In my opinion, I don't believe that Darko has back spasms. Darko has been slow and playing soft. I think that coach wanted to put players in who could play an up tempo gain. And due to the fact that the fans had been screaming for Hill to start Darko, he had to come up with a good excuse to get Battie back into the starting line up while benching Darko. By placing Darko on the IL list, this was a way to ward off already hostile fans. My honest opinion is that coach did the right thing.

With the Pacers and Knicks losing tonight, the Orlando Magic has bolted back into the 8th playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. I hope they will hold onto that position or--even better--move up in the standings.

I may be wrong, but why is it that the Miami Heat have not been playing any back-to-back games lately (I would say within the past month). That gives them an advantage allowing Shaq time to rest and be fresh for all of their games in their push for the playoffs.

This movie stars Whoopie Goldberg, a New York Nicks fan who starts out hecking the head coach, who is fired and Whoopie becomes the head coach. The movie is on TBS from 2:15 to 2:20 p.m.

Hi, I'm new to the board. There is a movie on right now about an avid fan who becomes the coach of the New York Nicks. Thought youd'd be interested. It's on TBS.
