    All-Star Weekend 2008

Today on ESPN's Fast Take, Chris Brussard said that he had the opportunity to see a preview of the dunks, and that Dwight's dunks weren't as impressive as the other participants because he is taller--with the basket being 10 ft.

A Case for Playing JJ ... By a JJ Critic

Soul Bro, I'm glad you mentioned this, because I get stressed out watching him out there on the floor. During every game, I'm tempted to post "TRADE BOGANS"! He is so-o-o-o frustrating to watch. I knew deep down in my heart that the outstanding play we witnessed from him early in the season was not going to last. TRADE BOGANS! TRADE BOGANS! TRADE BOGANS!

  13. You are so correct, JonBoy! I agree with both of your posts (See Below). I was getting ready to post similar thoughts in reference to Dwight's behavior/attitude and performance for the past 2 or more games. I do not have a problem with the way Stan is handling the situation. quote: Originally posted by JonBoy418: I say good for SVG. What Howard needs is a coach and not another person to cater to his amazing talent and sucuumbing to the superstar's wants or needs (like you currently see around the league). If the coach wants him to focus on defense and rebounding, then that's what Howard needs to do. If you expect to be a superstar, who must bring your best game each and every night. That's not to say he won't have a poor offensive night, but Howard and Howard alone is in control of his defensive presence. To let a player like Larry Hughes!?!?!?! go off for 40 points, 23 in the third. I don't see how you have an excuse for that. But make no mistake, SVG is the coach and he's not afraid to get in there and develop our youth, even if it is a 22 year old superstar. I commend that. quote: I know Dwight isn't soley responsible for Larry Hughes. However, Larry Hughes did have 8 points in the paint and drew a foul from Howard and made the two FT. That's 10 points right there. But, the excuse that Dwight needs help is a poor poor excuse. It doesn't give Howard the right to take nights off on the defensive side of the ball. SVG did the right thing and did the unpopular move of disciplining his best player when it was needed. How can you get upset with that?

Fans Game Thread * Magic - Cavs * Feb. 11th

In the post-game interview Stan was asked what was going on with Dwight. Stan said that he and Dwight were not on the same page, and that Dwight doesn't seem to be focused. Stan was asked why he sat Dwight. Stan said that there was something Dwight said.

But you never know with LeBron. It was just reported on ESPN that Gooden and Gibson will play tomorrow night against the Magic. Btw, Hughes will play also. He is playing tonight in the Denver/Cleveland game.

    Does Hedo fully complement Howard?

quote: Originally posted by Big L: That was one game, but look at his numbers in the last 10. The games where Hedo has had the geen light. His scoring avg and rebounding avg. Again I like Hedo, but I just think we need to worry about developing Dwight first. How many points/touches come in the 4th qtr for Dwight? Because Dwight gets fouled A LOT people!!!...especially in the 4th quarter. And he misses a lot of free throws which could (and has) cost us games. If you want his stats up, tell him to work on his free throws. When he starts making a higher percentage of his free throws, teams will be reluctant to foul him.

    Does Hedo fully complement Howard?

quote: Originally posted by SauceMoney:If you thinking about if Dwight averages about 11 touches per game and he averages about 10FT shots per game thats almost like saying he gets 16 touches per game. Turk and Lewis is only averaging 14 touches each. Howard is getting touches but hes also getting alot of fouls when hes getting his touches. But if Howard wants more touches hes gonna have to develop a jumper or something cause all hes doing is getting more and more fouls trying to go for dunks. Then hes missing alot of FTs so hes basically lowering his scoring average and should easily be a 30ppg player given the touches and FT attempts that hes given. Its all on Dwight. So true...so true!!!!

    Does Hedo fully complement Howard?

quote: Originally posted by SauceMoney:As for Howard, he needs to bring more to his game if he wants the ball alot. He needs to develop a jumper to go with his game. Everybody is on to his spin inside dunk or lay in move, or the hook shots. But if he added a jumper, he will be even more dominent. Like a 10ft shot. Thats closer than the FTs. He has great shooting form he just needs to build confidence. Once he does to go with the Shaq like game he has now, he will officially be the most dominating center in the game. First of all, I want to say that I agree with SauceMoney's comments about Dwight's game. However, this is directed to those of you who are criticizing Turk for hurting Dwight (not getting the ball to him enough). Did you all not see all those laser-sharp passes Hedo made to Dwight for the Dunk? There was one pass where Hedo looked like a quarterback when he threw a bomb to a streaking Dwight (from one end of the court to the other) for a dunk. Hedo is the best passer that we have.
