You tell 'em -O-. LeBron's team might win the Eastern Conference championship, but they are not going to win the NBA final. You can take that to the bank. -

You say this, but a lot can happen within the next 3 games to change the momentum. I hope you are right that the Warriors should still take the series. I agree with O that Dramon has had his share of turnovers and needs to calm down. -

Who said the Warriors are better without Curry? Of course Curry's scoring is needed, but the timing in which they brought him back is the key. The Warriors should have been up by 3-0. They were not ready for Curry's return for game 2. So, in game 3, the Pelican's coach saw something they felt they could exploit. No longer were the Warriors passing the ball around looking for the open man, and for some reason, the lane was not opening up for the Warriors to make easy lay ups. There were more 3 pt. attempts being jacked up and missed (game 3). The Warriors played small ball too long in game 3. Draymon Green is a good defender, but the Pelicans used 2 twin towers--Davis and whats the other guy's name?--who were very effective scoring more than 15 feet from the basket. Both teams had been pushing the ball up the floor, the Warriors went away from that in game 3 playing 'slow the ball down'. I don' think Curry was ready for the up tempo and he was not driving the lane for lay ups the way he use to before the injury. I love myself some Curry, but he is not a good passer and turns the ball over too much as he did in game 3, which allowed the Pelicans to take it to the basket for an easy score. I don't care who the player is--whether it's Durant, LeBron, Kobe. You don't bring that player back when your team is on a roll, winning consistently. -

Who said Curry is LeBron? My point about rushing him back has nothing to do with rust. At the beginning of the playoffs, the team was playing well without him. Sure, Curry, before his injury was much needed for his scoring. After he went down to injury, the team struggled to find a groove. In the post season they finally figured it out--how to make it work without Curry. There was a lot of ball movement to find the open man. Role players were making contributions. So when Curry returned, they had to restructure everything. The role players who were contributing before Curry's return became an after thought. It messed up the chemistry they had going for them. -

I also felt they should not have rushed curry back. I felt uneasy about it when it was mentioned that he would return in the second round. I like Curry--rushing him back was one thing, but he also turns the ball over too much trying to flip the ball over to his teammate over the opponents head and it gets intercepted. He did that twice tonight. Also, Curry is bad on defense. -

That's your opinion. Y'all like to use words like 'silly' and 'foolish' to describe someone else's opinions. You will never see me use words of that nature when I disagree or debate with someone. How rude! -

The weakness of the teams in the east is what makes LeBron appear to be great. Just wait until he plays against the Warriors or the Rockets. The Warriors are going to run so hard LeBron is not going to be able to play 38 minutes. He will be so tired that he will beg to be taken out of the game for a rest. Also, both the Warriors and Rockets have so many weapons that LeBron is not going to be able to do everything by himself. -

Huh? Naw, sweetie, you assume too much. Maybe you should have dug a little deeper into why I still have MJ's slam dunk poster. What happened was, as a classroom teacher and club sponsor, my club members sponsored a contest as a fund raiser. There were giveaways, such as ORLANDO MAGIC t-shirts, Magic mini basketballs, and other sports related items INCLUDING the MJ poster -- all of which I paid for out of MY Pocket. The MJ poster was one of the items left over after the contest was over. So, that is why I still have it. No, I am not in the habit of acquiring posters of all the players in the league I dislike the most. I'm into a number of different sports. Let me give you an example. I have been a long time fan and follower of the Florida State Seminoles since back in the day of Deion Sanders and definitely before Bobby Bowden arrived as the Coach. So, if Florida State lost to the Gators, I would watch Gator Games, in which FSU was not the opponent, so as to cheer against the Gators in hopes that they would lose. And, no, I do not have an Emmett Smith or Tim Tebow poster/tshirt. I liked Emmett Smith though when he played in the pros with the Dallas Cowboys that use to be my favorite NFL team. I now pull for Tampa Bay. You are reaching way too hard. -

I do. Would you believe back in the day, I did not like Michael Jordan either, but Jordan was a different type basketball player than LeBron. Michael played the game with the type of athleticism and scoring ability which has not been replicated by anyone else. If LeBron is not bullying his way to the basket to get to the free throw line, then his team would be a mediocre team. On the other hand, Jordan had/has a much higher basketball IQ than LeBron. Jordan did not whine about not having help from other players on his team. He had teammates like Scottie Pippen (his side kick), Horace Grant, Steve Kerr, Toni Kukoc, Charles Oakley, Dennis Rodman, BJ Armstrong, and others who played their roles and did not disappear from one game to another requiring Jordan to win the game by himself. I remember the game where Jordan was ill with a high fever, you could see the perspiration of a person who was very sick. He played anyway, he did not leave the bench to go to the locker room. I remember Scottie Pippen holding Michael up (he was slumped over), but he was determined to stay in the game and played until the final buzzer. Like I said, I was not a fan of Michael Jordan, but had/have more respect for his style of play unlike the the current cry baby. I still have a giant poster of Jordan in a slam dunk competition where he took off from the free throw line to dunk the ball. -

I agree. Oh-h-h how they will choke. I said the same thing about the Pacers after they blew out the LeBrons in game 6 on the Pacers home court. -

Naw-uh. If my team is eliminated from say, a playoff, I watch a game to cheer against a team I don't like--like LeBron--and hope they lose. Now tell me you have never done that. -

Who said anything about a conspiracy to make LeBron win. Even if the Pacers had a double-digit lead, the refs. would have swallowed the whistle every time LeBron barreled into the lane like a bowling ball knocking down or pushing aside anything in his way. If you paid close attention to the games (5th game specifically), LeBron did not play intense in the first half as he did in the final minutes of the fourth quarter. When LeBron decides he is going to take over, he puts on his fullback attire and goes barreling into the paint/lane and 99.9% of the time, he knows he is going to the free throw line. -

TrueMagicFan07 replied to Mauro Pedrosa's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
I was reading somewhere in the ESPN website that LeBron appears to not be too aggressive in the early going of the game reserving energy to take over in the second half (or 4th quarter). That's fine, but the problem with this is every time LeBron barrels into the lane for a layup, he commits two to three fouls in one play. I say this because he is bumping and shoving defenders on his way to the basket and the refs do not call a foul on him, instead it's called against a defender. However, I was shocked to see a foul called against him in game five for pushing off with his elbow. By the way, I agree with ~O~ and Fan For Two Long. People see the wrong in many facets of our lives whether it's sports or in society as a whole. Some speak out about it while others criticize those who do speak out because they don't want to be bothered and would rather let go or look the other way. It's obvious how refs give preferential treatment to the LeBron James and James Hardens of the NBA as far as blowing the whistle if a defender just breathes on them--You know it, I know it, everybody knows it. Does it mean it's okay, that no one should speak out about it? -
