And sadly, we will see LeBron use the same muscle play to win the NBA championship.

Since when did Shaq go over and through guys. Shaq played around the basket, and I agree he muscled his way in making dunks while under the basket. Since when did Shaq crab dribble and travel through the lane, knocking people out of the way.

Actually, I had no problem with Shaq. I was saddened when he left the Magic, but I got over it.

This^^^ But I guess no one else but me noticed how many times he traveled before making a layup, and how he bumped and wrapped his arm around the defenders and the defender was called for the foul. They showed a replay of him traveling just before a layup.

As a coach? Cause he's not going to be a player coach if the Magic signed him on.

https://www.sbnation.com/2017/10/18/16500140/doc-rivers-chris-paul-trade-blake-griffin-deandre-jordan I saw that in last night's game. Chris was on the injured list, but several times I saw him up off the bench--in a referee's face-- arguing a call. That's something I never saw LeBron do. I think Chris wants to be the leader of his team--a player coach.

"Chris Paul, who during the last six years playing for the Clippers avoided any controversial statements because he seemed more interested in preserving his image, has taken a shot at his former team by saying he was disappointed in its culture. In a three-part series on ESPN, Paul, who forced a trade to Houston this past summer, also talked about the Clippers not doing enough to beat the Golden State Warriors." http://www.latimes.com/sports/clippers/la-sp-clippers-report-20171019-story.html

Why is Golden State the enemy? I didn't pay too much attention to the Warriors back when Mark Jackson was the coach. They were a struggling team. I only remember the 'hack-a-shaqs' they used on Dwight Howard to try to win a game. Curry was not that good back then. After they started adding pieces to make them competitive, I started pulling for them because I wanted a team that could bring down any team that LeBron played on in the playoffs (since the Spurs couldn't do it).

LeBron James is being a drama queen at this time, pretending to be hurt and continuing to play, fighting through the pain . . .just like MJ. :)

I never understood this +/- stuff, but I googled it. Is it possible that cp3's -13 is due to too much iso , especially in the 4th quarter and not enough all around play/team involvement? In my opinion, there was not a lot of ball movement. They gave him the ball and he scored on almost every possession (iso) without passing the ball. Does anyone have an explanation for the -13 other than what I suggested (I honestly don't know).

Again, JR Smith had only 2 points and George Hill 7 pts.

You can tell he is exhausted. He did not put as much effort into chasing down Tatum(?) to block the layup. He ran him down but there was no lift in his legs to get off the ground.

I'm pulling for the Warriors, but their overall game last night was atrocious. They were at home and should have won that game. For a team that has the stars and is capable of winning their 3rd NBA championship in 4 years, they stunk up their arena last night. They had too many turnovers (which is not unusual). As ~O~ said, "they're getting too cocky". Draymond usually gets on his teammates when the team is playing poorly. But more and more he needs to take a look in the mirror. He is great on defense but his (and the team's) ball passing is terrible. I remember when in transition, Curry threw the ball across court to Green, who was running baseline, and hit him in his side. It was Draymond's fault for not checking for who had the ball. He was looking straight ahead. An errant pass like that happened a second time during the game, but with two different teammates. The Warriors just were not focused in last night's game. In the 2 previous games they won, there were lots of ball movement. Last night there was too much iso, (like Houston has been doing), not moving the ball around to find the open man, and jacking up 3's. They mixed it up in the 2 games they won--layups and 3's--. Curry needs to stop the shimmying after every 3-point made. And Mr. Shaun Livingston, who use to be a very good role player, has played poorly except in game 3. For the most part he has been useless. I use to yell "get Shaun out of there--trade him!" As I said several posts ago, Curry is a poor defender. Harden and cp3 gets by him too easily. I read where Houston was shifting(?) -- whoever Curry was guarding, they would slide over to jh or cp3, leaving Curry guarding one of them. Iguodala is the Warriors' best defender. They need him back.

Buddy Thomas: Why I can’t enjoy LeBron James’ bully ball "LeBron James may be the greatest NBA player of his or, arguably, any era, but how good would he be if he was forced to play by the rules that govern virtually every amateur basketball league? Yes, he’s big, strong, agile, amazingly athletic and, by far, the king of his sport. But there are plenty of people who can drive around a rotary on Cape Cod and come through unscathed who would not be as fortunate if they had to make big-time adjustments in an effort to negotiate a NASCAR track during a racing event. Only in the NBA can a player stop his dribble at the foul line, take two steps, pirouette and lay the ball in the basket without forcing a game official to blow his whistle. The only exception is when the whirling dervish is being rewarded for drawing a “continuation” foul, which LeBron seems to have perfected. College basketball may also have the “two step” rule, but traveling calls in one college game probably out-number the number of travel calls in an NBA season. That’s because the NBA is about flash-and-dash and scoring points and, from an offensive standpoint, nobody is more flashy, dashy or prolific than LeBron James. So why can’t I root for the guy? I guess it’s because I’ve never been a fan of the bully and every time I’ve seen LeBron play he’s cast that role. He gives, but can’t take. For a star of such magnitude, has there ever been a bigger complainer?" Watch him on offense. Are his shoulders that big from working out or just swollen from consistently driving them into any opposing body that dares block his path to the basket? If there is no direct route, James will back his way through a defender with a series of body bumps until he finds the open path — usually without picking up an offensive foul. For proof, check out the numbers." Link http://www.southcoasttoday.com/sports/20170614/buddy-thomas-why-i-cant-enjoy-lebron-james-bully-ball
