Thank you Eskobar. I've seen it so many times too. When I registered back in 2007 I was on defense/attack mode too. And did I hit back hard__not in the same way that MagicFan1234 did. But I called it for what it was, and it eventually stopped. That was 11 years ago, and now it's started up again. IT NEEDS TO STOP!!!

See, this is a message board. Most people don't know each other (personally). We don't know the state of mind of people who post on any message board. Just because one person does not express themselves the way we want them to or you don't agree with the way they express themselves, does that justify ganging up on that poster, resulting in him/her going on attack mode? Let me share this with you. A month or so ago, there was a poster new to the board. He tried to particpate, but a couple of members criticized him for his sentence structure. I spoke out about it. Also I have not seen any posts from him since that time.

No, seriously. . .MagicFan1234 was not always this way. You have to go back quite a ways in a couple of threads. He was making some comments that in my opinion were innocent, and he wasn't posting harsh comments and responses to others posts until recently. Several weeks ago, some of you were critical (hard on him) for some of the comments/opinions he posted that were pretty down to earth. So he started pushing back. Go back several weeks/pages in some of these threads and you will find what I'm saying is true. One of the last things he said before he was sent packing was "you started it". . .(meaning 'you all'). I remember him because when I posted comments on certain topics, he was civil in his replies. I'm just saying.

Payton is from Louisiana and attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He was a standout in college, so hopefully he will have a pretty good fan base. . .returning to his roots (no pun intended) with the shorter hair style he had when he was drafted. Maybe he will find some success with the Pelicans. Edit: "Louisiana-Lafayette's Elfrid Payton wasn't on USA Basketball's radar as recently as a few weeks ago when Ragin Cajuns coach Bob Marlin dialed Billy Donovan and urged him to consider inviting the 6-foot-3 rising junior to tryouts."

What's so funny about what you said is that I didn't expect that particular assessment/critiquing of the fight. . .(hehe). It caught me off guard, so all I could do was laugh. I was like. . .huh?

Thanks, ~O~. I couldn't remember the exact comment (word-for-word), but I do remember LeBron saying: a) He wanted to be a billionaire and b) He wanted to be the first. (Note: He didn't just say he wanted to be a billionaire, the first was mentioned in his comment). So yea, as ~O~ said, LJ wants to be the first active basketball player billionaire.

Ah-h-h. . .Thanks Franchise408 for responding to my question. I was curious because I had only seen 2 or 3 posts from you and your location is California, so I thought you were fairly new to the board. I see that you have been a member of this board for awhile. Again, thanks, and I am happy you are a member of the TBN family. Go Magic!!!!

Hi Franchise408, I see that you are from California. How and when did you become a Magic fan . . .and welcome to the board. I know that you have posted several times already. And before anyone else comment on my question to Francise408, I'm aware that the Magic have fans all over the world.

I was thinking the same thing (I have been replying to others' posts making that same opening comment). . .ha ha! Anyway, during the regular or post season last year, I posted a comment in another thread about LeBron saying he wanted to be the first billionaire athlete. This move that he is making is not about chasing another championship (That door has pretty much closed). He has other business interests/investments outside of basketball. If you recall during the playoffs L.J. played 48 mins. in several/most of the games, then gave up on the team after he saw they were going to be swept. I believe LJ knew that was going to be his last dance with the Cavs, so he had to make it look good by playing all those minutes and of course putting up big numbers in scoring. In that way, the Cavs fans would not harbor any ill feelings about him leaving for another team. After LeBron left to play in Miami, he returned to Cleveland to fulfill his promise to bring them a championship. So I believe LeBron feels he followed through on his promise and now it is time to move on. LJ is continually building his brand and he is traveling from coast to coast to expand his fan base (not that he needed to because he is popular no matter where he plays geographically). But it's not about winning championships, he is a hot item wherever he goes. It's all about reaching his goal of becoming the first billionaire athlete before or after he retires.

Didn't Lance play for the Lakers a couple of seasons ago. I bet LeBron had something to do with adding him to the Laker's roster. Remember how Lance use to do some crazy stuff when guarding LJ, like blowing in his ear. He played/defended Bron tough.

I think Gordon saw this image, and said to himself: "I like the direction this team is going . . . especially with me playing next to Isaac and Bamba (B.I.G. Triple Threat)".

This^^^. Mario did not explode or show that side of him that we all fell in love with until after he didn't get the extension. So we shouldn't blame anyone else for him not doing what he needed to do. I believe he had it in him all along but waited too late to showcase his talent. Edit: He sucked up until it was too late (just before an extension was to be decided).

I agree. As I watched games, it felt like the team were playing a (pickup game). As Orland0fan mentioned, the team "lacked defined roles".

See, there you go again. I'm not saying that his steals was the only indicator that he was a great/good defender. I was just pointing out that aspect of what he does that helps on the defensive end. You can add the steals to other aspects of his defensive game that makes him an average/above average defender.

Are you serious? You must not have been watching many games. Lots of times I have watched Fournier intercept/steal balls from other teams in transition. It reminded me of how Victor Oladipo use to sneak up and rip the ball from an opponent. He may not be a lock down defender but he does a decent job on defense. I have always liked Fournier. In many games, the Magic would start out strong, but when the subs came in the game, the other team would take or extend the lead and put us in a hole. After a rest, Fournier would come back in the game and would almost single-handedly bring us back with his scoring. Sure, we may not have won but we would come so close to stealing the game because of Fournier. Many of you have been critical of Fournier/Vuch playing buddy ball. I agree it's time for Vuch to go, but the Magic needs to keep Fournier. At least he is a good scorer that we already have in our pocket/on the team. The Warriors advertise these 4 players as their core players: Draymond Green Steph Curry Clay Thompson Kevin Durant I can see these 4 as the core players for the Magic: Jonathan Isaac Mohamed Bamba Aaron Gordon Evan Fournier

Oh come on Mgf1987. . .do you think that tap on Russell's behind was a hard enough shove to cause Russell to slip and fall, clearing space for MJ to make that shot? MJ did not have the size/weight/strength of Shaq or LeBron. Russell must have been light as a feather.

Report: LeBron James played with injured right hand for final three games LeBron James is dealing with more than the pain of losing his sixth NBA Finals. The 15-year veteran played the last three games with a severely injured right hand according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst. James confirmed after the game he "played the last three games with a broken hand." "It was self-inflicted, post game after Game 1. It was very emotional for a lot of different reasons," James said. Brian Windhorst ✔@WindhorstESPN LeBron James suffered a significant right hand injury after Game 1 when he punched a black board in the locker room, sources told me & @mcten. He had 2 MRIs & has been wearing a soft cast. LeBron not using injury as an excuse but kept quiet to prevent Warriors from knowing. 12:25 AM - Jun 9, 2018 http://www.nba.com/article/2018/06/09/report-lebron-james-played-injured-right-hand-final-three-games

The signs are there. LeBron is trying to play this finals out so that he can move on. You know, LeBron cannot continue to carry this team. He is 30 + ? . . .and he looks tired (bending over, grabbing his left arm).

LeBron has been quiet tonight (by his own standards). He has 18 pts. so far. By the way, this is similar to the way he played back in 2008-2009 when he made his decision to join the Heat after the Magic beat the Cavs to win the eastern conference finals.
