That's what we need. . .a tough guy that can smack someone (on the opposing team) in the face. And then act all innocent like Draymond Green does. -

If it was a pizza you had started eating, it would be a waste of your money. Pizza is too good to waste on Fournier. It should be something that you plan on throwing away after you smack him. -

So how has it been working out for us letting Fournier, the "turnover machine", handle the ball in crunch time? I have never let losing a game upset me. But it was kinda frustrating tonight, especially after every game the camera pans to Fournier looking up at the scoreboard(?) like "I should have (or could have) made that shot". I'm not a violent person, but sometimes I want to throw a shoe at him. -

They let Briscoe stay in there too long. Sure, he may have been good on defense, but DJ would have helped with the scoring. He is good at driving to. in. around the basket. He could have drawn a foul in the last minute of the game to get to the free throw line and possibly tie the game. Briscoe only had 2 measly points in the 3rd quarter when I called for putting DJ back in, then he (Briscoe) scored 2 in a row. -

Exactly! Fournier wants to be that guy, and he's not. -

It's Fournier's dribbling in traffic -- low to the floor- - that scares me. -

I told them to put DJ back in there. When is the last time Briscoe put the ball in the basket. -

WHERE: Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena TV: FOX Sports Florida TIME: Pregame coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. The Detroit Pistons and Orlando Magic are scrambling to stay in the Eastern Conference playoff race. One of them will collect a valuable win when they face each other at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena on Wednesday. The Magic (19-24) and Pistons (18-24) own the ninth and 10th best records in the conference. The Pistons have won just five of their past 22 games. They are coming off a 1-3 West Coast trip, with the lone victory coming against star forward Blake Griffin‘s former team, the Los Angeles Clippers. The road swing wrapped up with a 100-96 loss at Utah on Monday night. Detroit was outscored 47-35 in the second half. “We just have to be better; I have to be better,” said Griffin, who was held to 19 points after a 44-point performance against the Clippers. The Magic leave Orlando on a high note, having defeated two of the league’s best teams over the weekend. They edged Boston 105-103 to snap a four-game losing streak, then downed Houston 116-109. Orlando outscored the Rockets 64-50 in the second half. “Winning cures everything,” said forward Aaron Gordon, who notched 22 points, eight rebounds, five assists and two steals. “All of the bickering that was going on and all the doubt — a couple of wins can change that. … Not so much bickering, but we just lost our purpose of play. Now, we can’t get complacent and we have to keep adding.” The Magic shot 48.2 percent and had 25 assists compared to 11 turnovers. A victory at Detroit would match their longest winning streak of the season. “That’s been our issue all season — not being able to stay consistent,” center Nikola Vucevic said on NBA.com. “We did it two games, but now we have to do it night-in and night-out. Hopefully, we’re to a point now where we can do that. The next game is huge for us, against Detroit, which is a team that we’re going to fight for a playoff spot. Hopefully, we can have another good night.” Orlando backup center Mo Bamba has missed the past three games with a sore left foot. Although Bamba practiced Tuesday, coach Steve Clifford said afterward that it is more “realistic” that the rookie will return Friday against Brooklyn rather than Wednesday. Detroit and Orlando split their first two meetings this season. -

And for all that matter, who's going to start when Conley's injured? Briscoe? Grant? . . No thanks.

Pelicans Interested In Terrence Ross JAN 12, 2019 2:39 AM The New Orleans Pelicans have shown interest in Terrence Ross as they look to upgrade their wing depth. The Magic were reluctant to trade Ross as they pushed for a playoff spot, but they may be willing to deal after a recent losing streak. They are looking for a first-round pick in return for Ross. The Magic still would prefer to trade Jonathon Simmons. https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/252216/Pelicans-Interested-In-Terrence-Ross

And this is why we need DJ as our starter. The 3 point shot is just ONE of needed values in a starting point guard. So, at this point, where are we going to find a starting point guard with versatile skills that is not playing on a top tier team. DJ is not a point guard who panics when we lose a large lead. -

Preview: Magic looking to pull out of slump as Celtics come to town The Orlando Magic are on their third four-game losing streak of the season. Bouncing back from this one won’t be easy. They recovered from an early season four-game skid to win at San Antonio to start a 7-2 run over nine games. Orlando later shook off a December slide by beating powerful Toronto, and then Detroit, at home. The Magic (17-24) hope their home court helps again as they host the Boston Celtics on Saturday after a 1-5 road trip ended with losses to Minnesota, the Los Angeles Clippers, Sacramento and Utah. After playing Boston, Orlando wraps up a back-to-back home set with surging Houston stopping by on Sunday. “The bottom line is we have to get better play from more people. The nights that we do, we’re fine, but that’s every team in this league,” said coach Steve Clifford. Boston (25-16) is coming off Thursday’s 115-99 loss at Miami that snapped a four-game winning streak. -

I agree with starting Ross but not Birch. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Birch played against Boston's Bench players. I have seen some centers from other teams that would make Birch look like a third string center. Most centers in the league can make long jumpers as well as score under the basket. Their ability to make long jumpers can pull Birch out from basket, allowing for easy lay ups. Let's see what happens against the Rocket's center Capella. -

Kyrie was upset that his teammate did not give him the ball to make the final shot. He was pointing his finger at Gordon Hayward and had some choice words for him. I noticed that as they walked off the court. -

I don't know about this game tomorrow night. Harden is a magician. He knows how to carry his team. Look out for forcing fouls against the Magic and those step-back (travel) shots. It reminds me when LeBron use to do the crab dribble.
