This game was up for grabs except, good balance at rebounds, FG%, TO's, even 3 PT FG% but the margin was at Assists Dallas with a whooping 32, the magic a whimpering 14. The automatic reaction is lack of PG playmaking but we should also analyze the conversion rate of assists of those that got the assists ansd how many plays were started with ballmovement with other players? The comments on Arroyos shot attempts should aknowledge he has cut down significantly from his January run and I think his FG% during the last month has been over 60% or better. It seems he is adjusting(finally) to his back up role but Jameer is not using his added minutes well. Will Carlos be able to adjust to be an opener and bring in 5-7 APG per game and 12-14 PG? I feeel he can do it if we have trust worthy outside shooter in combo with Howard-Darko combo.

I reviewed the previously recorded game and compared with your live comments during it. Not fair from many of you. The same Brian Hill that or this and highly critical of most of our players. This is my take. For being a tired team we kept up with them except our rebounding and our three point shooting. Our PG's specially Jameer did his job although he could not find Howard in the second half. The referres were seeing a different game I was, too many fouls on Howard, Darko, Jameer etc like their defenders were the invisible men. The wings were not existent except for Turk and our Big men were tired and were massacred at the boards because of the poor calling of the refs. I liked JJ's time although he missed quite a few open assists by Carlos. He will find his groove and looke better without the ball against bigger men. This game on a well rested mode could have gone our way, maybe if Ginobili would be playing with casts in both arms! Our guys tried and lets give them some credit!

Thw "we" sounds like everyone is having foul shooting problems. This is not true. The only players that have consistent problems have been Howard (62%), Ariza (59%) and Milicic(59%). But the problem is that the ones that gets fouled al the time are Howard and Milicic and they have become our Achilles heel in close games.

<Seriously, do you post about ANYTHING else but Jameer/Arroyo? It seems all you do is talk about Jameer's shortcomings, how about look at your boy. Neither of them are perfect but Jameer is better, and more to the point IS the starter. The quicker you accept that fact the less you will have to talk about it!. Explain again how Jameer had a "terrible" game?> Adam, too many attempted shots and 7 turnovers is really horrendous for a PG. I have pointed out several times that Jameer needs to be given an opportunity to perform yet he is not taking advantage of it. Give Carlos and Diener the same. I have allways defended Howards and Arizas playing and given credit for Darkos improvement. I have defended more time for JJ especially with Carlos and criticized severely the underpar performance of Turk during the season. I have agreed with the general consensus that Grant affects everybodys game and should be in the bench and I agree that you are biased too in your comments . When Carlos does badly he has to take the criticisim, when jameer does the same this board allows us to comment accordingly in a respectful way.

I would start this year by sitting on the bench as decorative fixture and rest him in case we can use hin for the playoffs. Give Ariza and JJ more time.

At the beginning of the season I predicted Grant would not be a factor for the final run. You can count him out. Ariza is not 100 % and doubt he will be this season. The trade inaction will come back to haunt Otis for a long time.

The same factors were important to our loss, lack of outside shooting, excesive turnovers(Jameer 7) and low assists but on this ocassion I have to point out a decisive coaching decision when Howard was taken out when we were in a run in the third quarter that cut the lead down to 3 from 16. This left Milicic in alone with Nene that took over the boards and lost our most realible scorer. Man this guy is 21, let him rest on the hotel!

This game cannot become a fast paced shooting fest because they have the advantage. We must win by a tight defense, domination of the boards trying to penetrate to obtain early foul trouble for their best players. This one we can win and should win if we can keep our desire for the whole game.

Lets get off the free agency mode and see how we can get the best fo the team even with Brian Hill as coach! We have alternatives in the bench and we should use them.

I have grateful to have been practicing Pediatric Surgery in PR for the last 30 years and now I am becoming good at medical acupuncture with great interest in sport rehabilitation of acute injuries. I keep in shape by hiking and doing some yoga.
