  1. Isn't the committee attempting to become the self appointed ruling class of basketball knowledgeable fans in this Forum?
  2. quote: Originally posted by Drunk on Mystery: quote: Originally posted by ibonedteribell:oligarchic snobbery Either you're unclear as to what an oligarchy actually is, or you're greatly misusing the term here. At worst you could accuse me of elitism(guilty), condescension(fair), and pretension(cruel, but also fair). But since no aspect of what I've written here, either on my end as writer or yours as reader, pertains in anyway to a minority ruling class, an oligarchy it is not. [but we the committee found it difficult to believe anyone on this board would be so stupid as to think they were qualified to actually inform me, or us if you prefer, about anything.] Is this not a quote referring to a minority?
  3. Although is too erly in the season to bring this up, last year we were forced to use players that rode the bench all season, during the first and second round, such as Gortat. How about his confidence?
  4. The problem with the post is that if you take it as a bit of humor(noir) is a work of art but if you take it seriously is depressingly intense since its is based on the concept of oligarchic snobbery as predicated by those that aroused the unworthy to develop our democratic principles. The right to express your views, be them unfounded according to some one's crtieria has allowed the learning from the experience for both the knowledgeable and the uneducated where they help each other progress together at their own rhythm. The forum has an option to ignore those poster that in your concept are filling up the posts with invisible ink.LOL

    Jameer, be aggressive

quote: Originally posted by Kramer: quote: Originally posted by GYPSY:The problem isn't Meer be aggressive, the main issues is that him has never improved one faucet of his game in 5 years. This is quite a statement. What has Jameer improved in his game? I don't know how to answer this but if you ask some Toronto fans how it feels for a point guard so short to carry a team so long in game 4... Actualy I do know how to answer this. He was the lowest scoring starter and more than effectively got everyone else involved. The four other starters scored 20+ and two scored 25+. Sounds like some studdly point guard play if you ask me Nobody can question he really came through during the series, yet what most people question him is for his consistency at doing this. Just look at his year stats.

Que cree de ponerle al protegido de Otis el Intocable y asi cuando hagamos referencia a ambos y comparaciones en su juego estariamos haciendolo en anonimato e impersonalmente? LOL

los dos back up PG's lesionados y aun la temporada regular no ha empezado. No lucen muy bien las cosas para el equipo. Que influencia tendra Stan en la busqueda de otro PG o Otis volvera a imponerse.

    Van Gundy Challenges PG Nelson

Its sad all Jameer posts still are enveloped with the Arroyo issue and tend to deviate from the reality of the issue. No mattter what we think about his adequacy for the role he was chosen for by Otis, its a reality we have to live with and only Jameer can make believers of his detractors and prove Otis was right. I feel this year will be his last chance to make sure "All eyes are upon him" or become one of the many utility PG's available.

"If you pulled your head out of your rectum long enough to read my entire post, you would see that I too, was critical of Jameer and his play. There is a difference between being critical and overanalyzing single sentences in an effort to support your point." Echo, I liked your clarity in clearing up you point to us that miscrue your opinions, but I failed to see the humor in contaminating my airway and vision in such unnealthy manner specially when I have looked at so many cavities throughourt my medical career. "That is pretty good advice Ibone. It must get terribly hot and stuffy in there." Emory, For one of those miraculous moments we seem to agree in something. I thank you for your concern in my welfare.LOL

But I'm starting to come around on Anthony Johnson. I also believe that Jameer (and Turk for that matter) are half-speeding it because it's simply preseason. But if this stuff continues into the regular season.... We may be entering a Jameer v. A.J. era. I'm just sayin'. But it's all in Jameer's hands, so to speak. If he plays like anything close to that Toronto series, there won't be any controversy. At least not among rational thinkers, anyway. How can you see his point when CD was reacting to his uncalled for criticism of an otherwise rational discussion? I find this abit of baiting? Dont you?

    Van Gundy Challenges PG Nelson

quote: Originally posted by magic berto: quote: Originally posted by echo4papa: There are some valid, and solid points made in this thread... at the same time, there are tired old comments made by some, reminiscent of the old Carlos VS. Jammer threads. Posts that tend to take one sentence from a story, or one small comment, and extrapolate a point that is completely off base with the rest of the article and or meaning behind the original words. Does Jameer need to find a certain level of intensity about his game on a nightly basis? Certainly, and until he does, he will not be playing up to his skill level. Jameer is not one of those guys that can coast at half speed and get by well enough to be productive. He has some physical limitations (height), and skill limitations that make his 'half speed' game ineffective. He does a decent job of making up for these limitations with effort and aggressiveness at times. Lets hope that he finds a way to make this the norm. I second that... maybe they're finding difficulty mingling in the Maccabi Tel Aviv message board. Does that team even have a message board? I sense a bit of paranoia here. Do you remember who wrote the article and who made the comments. Most comments in this post have been by pretty good magic fans who have the right to comment on the article. If Stan is not happy with jameer is it unusual for some fans not to share his concerns? Has the name of Arroyo been thrown around here to justify your out of touch comments? Is this what you expect from Jameer the rest of the year to make you satisfied? Is any criticism of jameer from now on a vendetta for Arroyo? Take that chip of your shoulder.
