  1. Heres what espn has to say about Sharpe

    Quote

Here’s what they had to write about Sharpe:

Sharpe has been able to carve out more playing time than expected for an ambitious Portland team trying to maximize the prime years of Damian Lillard, ranking top 10 in both minutes played and scoring. He has had highs and lows as expected considering he sat out last season and missed much of his senior year of high school because of an injury. Shooting 38% from beyond the arc, Sharpe’s shotmaking ability has been as advertised, be it off screens, pulling up in transition, relocating off pump-fakes or hitting difficult step-backs.

However, ESPN also notes that Sharpe has room to improve.

He’s still figuring out the nuances of creating higher-percentage opportunities for himself and others and getting to the free throw line more often, and he has not shown much yet as a passer. Defensively is where Sharpe has the most room to grow, which isn’t surprising considering his lack of experience. His intensity comes and goes, and he struggles to be effective off the ball, falling asleep more than you’d hope. How much Sharpe can grow in these areas will help determine how he’s viewed going into next season, but he has already shown considerable promise.

He's not listed on the KIA top ten rookie ladder anymore.

Paolo is still #1 on the ROY watch.

I wanna throw this out there …we all know the injury history and missing games here is crazy …I saw Fultz ankle injury Friday night …I thought it was bad certainly looked that way …all his weight on an ankle and foot turned to the side …I thought he was done for who knows how long …then he came back second half I’m sure after getting it rewrapped and tightening his shoe …I was wondering all day Saturday if once he relaxed and got a chance to survey the damage if he’d be back any time soon .

So we know the result …kudos to him …didn’t seem to bother him …with all the complaints we’ve made about this sitting guys for abnormal amounts of time …nice to have a story the complete opposite of what we’ve become conditioned too .

We'll see if there isn't some lingering item that knocks him out.

I agree about fultz i think a few more games under his belt and he will start to feel like the player that played 77 games for us. I harp on these Bench/G-League players, but they have really been starting to lock in on playing the role they have been given and not hero ball (though Kevon Harris is the most likely to do that of the three).

I really feel Caleb needs more time on the court. He has been solid - even though his shooting isn't as consistent, almost every time he shoots its seems in rhythm, not a Cole Anthony 6 seconds into the shot clock attempt.

If we were to trade id be willing to part with RJ, Chuma and Ross. any combo of these three. Of those three Chuma would be the one i would try and keep.

Fultz defense is actually pretty good except for when he gets screened. he needs to watch how Jalen handles screens.

Really interesting find. This comes from the FiveThirtyEight.com (ESPN Insider) team. Who does Franz compare most to in his NBA projections? … Jason Tatum. That’s really encouraging, right? Moreover, they call him a future all-star with a current market value of 5 years/134 million. Meanwhile, FiveThirtyEight statistically comps Paulo to Anthony Edwards and say he has a market value of 5 years/90 million. Good stuff right there. We have two huge building blocks.

I think a real comp for Paolo is Carmelo Anthony

I honestly don't know we've got him at basically the minimum for next season too but if he stays healthy and keeps up this level of play who knows what we'll have to pay him the summer after next.

3yr/10 mil might be worth it with a 3rd yr team option.. (unless thats lower then vet min) I like him and i bet you playing with his bro is big time discount- any team offering 3/15mil might not be enough incentive to move on, but a 3/20mil might be to hard to pass up
