Appears Golden State Might Want Carlos

I think you are Wright [smile], but it would be interesting if we threw in the rights to Fran, too.

Appears Golden State Might Want Carlos

I've got a trade that works and would benefit both teams. JJ Redick and Keyon Dooling for Brandan Wright and Michael Pietrus Dooling would give them the back-up pg they need, while JJ would be great in their system. Wright would give us a potential 4 for the future, while Pietrus would give us a defensive GF.
  3. There's already a thread on this my man.

It is true that the value of Carlos (and Hedo) are at an all time high. That is a very good thing from every angle, imo.

Makes sense b/c he is a 10/10 guy with a PER of 19 at age 21.

Yeah, I've been reading up on Pietrus. He is an over-rated defender and he can't dribble, according to Hollinger. Frankly, we don't need him. IMO, we can't lose Keyon's slashing abilities or Los' passing abilities. *Edit: Just changed the title to include "might" to better reflect situation. Thx pimpin!

Appears Golden State Might Want Carlos

http://www.contracostatimes.com/warriors/ci_7848879 Would you trade Carlos to GS? For whom? I think Carlos is much more valuable to our team than Pietrus would be so it would have to be for a lot more than Pietrus. I'd rather trade Dooling than Los but even then I'm not sold that Pietrus would be an upgrade over Dooling. Now if Harrington or Biedrins were thrown into the discussion, my opinion would change. Thoughts? BTW, this other article below suggests that we did have interest in Pietrus over the summer. Hmmm ... http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/01/01/SPQ6U735R.DTL

I would like to give Carlos Arroyo kudos for having another great game even after he had so sit because they wanted to play jameer. 7-7 shooting sounds pretty good to me unlike jameers 8-15 shooting and they both had 4 assists but the difference is that jameer got 11 more minutes playing time... Now imagine if carlos would have been in he would have finished with at least 8 or more assits. But i congratulate jameer for finally doing something. But carlos is still the better point guard and should be starting. Good job in winning the game though Ugh. These posters spread like the plague. Good team game tonite in a tough environment. Meerlos played very well. Agree. I especially was happy with Jameer's great defense in the 4th and OT. After the game, I also thought it was admirable that Jameer said he was okay starting or coming off the bench. I am glad BOTH of our pgs played so well. Go Magic!

I'm still laughing at the title to this thread. It's like it refers to some Soprano's hit or something.

The Lebron hairline comment is awesome. Yeah, Lebron sure doesn't look like he's in his early 20s

He will take the next couple games to "heal" the back while practicing and working on all he has been wrong and he then will make a return to the starting line up to see if he has got his game back. At that point if Van Gundy still feels Carlos is the new starter a statement will be made that during the "injury" Van Gundy relized Carlos plays better at the begging of the game and Jameer would be better for team in the 2nd unit. Some other crap would be said about how there both starters just playing equal minutes in diffrent parts of the game. I did find this quote from SVG about Jameer's back: "He's been pretty banged up," Van Gundy said of Nelson. "It just gets to the point where it gets real stiff." http://www.news-journalonline.com/NewsJournalOnline/Spo...s/sptMAG01123007.htm

quote: Originally posted by Rodriguez:Guy, I believe that Carlos is still healing, he wore a black support sock in the last game to prevent any foot injury. We cann't play him 30 to 40 minutes, That's why I say let play Jameer for some minutes or let Jameer start the game, because we know that Dooling is not a PG. What to you guy thinks? Great post. I don't care who starts but we need them both to play b/c of their passing abilities. Plus, it would allow both of them to stay fresh.

Look if LA thought these two had any talent they would till be there....in the end, when this tean collapes.......they again will be crying in there words.....and i will be enjoying my board reading, laughing my butt off as usual, eating my breakfast.........lol. JJ plays bad defense......let me say this much.......bogans always and i mean always gets beat on the baseline...every time......everytime.....no exceptions....last 10 games our defense has held oponents to what 109 points a game? And Redick has given up how many of them? Whats that you say Bj, soul and smack? Right to the point: First and foremost, I am a Magic fan, no matter who is on our team. A bandwagon guy leaves when his team loses or loses players (aka Serbian Eagle). Second, Bogans homer? Please ... You obviously haven't been reading my posts. I'd love to replace Bogans with a slasher. Third, yes, I was making fun of Redick ... probably in poor taste by starting this thread. But no, I wasn't kidding about my views on Redick. Love his shot, hate his defense. For the sake of other posters here, I am not gonna harp on it anymore. And fourth, Marc already responded to your baseline comment. Did that answer your post, nclover? Are you from NC? Makes sense. Go Magic!

    Drafting This Year

Assume we are going to draft around 20-25. Will a decent PF be available? Any UNC fans around? Do you think Tyler H. can make it at PF in the NBA? ... on the Magic? Is he a David Lee type? Or should we trade our pick and change for Shelden Williams? Thoughts? *Edit: I've changed the title of this thread to better reflect it.

PLS VOTE HEDO !! FOR ALLSTAR GAME

Over the last 5 games, Hedo has averaged 25 ppg, 5.8 rbpg, 4.8 apg, 1.6 spg, and 1.2 bpg. Those are nasty numbers!

    Start Redick?

quote: Originally posted by Osprey23:Ok I went back and checked the game thread, and I still can't find one post that should have prompted this thread. Looked to me like it was 10 posters ridiculing Redick and one guy (Redickulous) defending him, and it wasn't like he was calling for JJ to be the starter. He was defending his favorite player. We all have favorite players, his happens to be JJ and he wasn't being as obnoxious as others have been to any extent whatsoever. So, you felt like you had to run to the main forum to start an unfunny thread to be sarcastic about JJ after a win? In my opinion that is acting like a dick. The board gets filled with asinine threads daily by people saying extremes because of a bad game here or there, and you start another with the sole purpose of baiting Redick fans. After a win (did I say that already?) True to form, Junkie shows up to add to his long resume of JJ bashing. (Junkie, sorry if a poster here on the message board hurt your feelings. Cry me a river, build a bridge, and GET OVER IT) I hear your feedback. As I wrote, I wasn't trying to be a jerk. Rather, I was just trying to have some fun. With that, I refer back to my last post on this thread. Go Magic!
  25. This is a great discussion and has my attention. Please keep it coming. (And, no, I'm not being sarcastic).
